“WOULD RETURN”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 May 2014

My wife & I have just returned from a 2 night stay. The hotel is undergoing some external work, but this was not an inconvenience as we stayed on a Friday & Saturday night. Not sure if this would be an issue if staying during the week. The Hotel is generally clean & the staff friendly. We found the room fine for a 2 night stay. We did have to use the supplied fan as the room was very warm even with all the windows open. Breakfast consisted of cereal, pastries, toast etc. The nearest tube is Preston Road which is a 15/20 min walk. Wembley is a 30 min walk. If visiting Wembley again we would certainly consider this b&b Hotel.

We have stayed in the hotel on multiply occasions and we have never been disappointed. Located about 10 mins from the Metropolitan line station Preston Hill, it's handy for Wembley and Central London attractions. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, the breakfast choice good. Will be staying there again no doubt :-)

Stayed here one night for Sunderland v Man City match. It is well located and we walked to Wembley Stadium. We got the car parked easily, room for about 5 cars on front. We had room 22 which is at the back and was quiet. It was very clean. It had small fridge/freezer and tea and coffee facilities which was good. When we returned on the night, it was raining and windy and there was a cold draft coming from the window but it did have heavy blinds which helped a little. The bed was not the best we have slept on, the mattress was quite lumpy and we did wake up a few times during the night. Shower was good with plenty hot water. Breakfast was continental and consisted of quality items.

This is a clean and friendly hotel and is ideal for a nights stay for a nearby venue.

We were back in the area and invited to stay at the hotel following our last unsuccessful visit. The hotel was much better this time we were not bothered by contractors. Room large family room but if travelling with small children be aware that the bedroom is split in two with two doors between rooms.

Room Tip: away from the kitchen area

We stayed in this hotel the same time as the American football game as mentioned earlier. We had no problems with noise or traffic or disturbed sleep and were at the front of the hotel too. The staff were very obliging and the hotel was fine for what was needed. Location is great for wembley and the tube to town and parking is fine.We stayed in two rooms and one looked much nicer as it had been recently decorated. The other room was a bit tired looking but very clean and the beds were massive. There was a fridge in each room too. The upstairs room which had been decorated had a very small narrow bathroom, so might not suit larger travellers. The showers in both were great.
Breakfast is very basic unless you order the cooked breakfast. There are a selection of cereals, orange juice, tea and coffee, some prepacked pastries and white bread for toast. The cooked breakfast is nice though as cooked to order. We usually stay in premier Inn and although the rooms weren't as nice and the breakfast wasn't as plentiful it was a good bit cheaper. Definitiely worth staying here if you're not too fussy. We would return.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the modernised rooms at the back of the hotel.

We stayed for 2 nights as we wanted to go into London on one day and Wembley the next day. We had tickets for the American Football game. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to Preston road tube station on the Metropolitan line which can be used for a quick journey to London or one station in the other direction to get to Wembley Park. We walked to Wembley stadium, if you have reasonable fitness this takes just over 30 minutes and beats waiting in the crowds at the tube station.

The hotel is relatively small with good basic facilities. We were happy with the layout and facilities in the room. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and decent size, flat screen TV, shower that worked in the bathroom (believe me this is not always the case!), shower cream and tea/coffee making facilities. All the basic things required for a busy visit to London. The only issues we had were that whilst a hairdryer was provided, you couldn't actually dry your hair in front of a mirror, most females will appreciate the difficulties this presents. The largest issue for us was that the room was at the front of the hotel, on the side of the busy road and above the entrance door where you had to press a buzzer for the door to be opened by whoever was on duty. This resulted in major sleeping problems and really affected our stay and enjoyment of the American Football as we were just so tired. We did ask if there was a possibility of moving but the hotel was full. I appreciate this was a budget room, but whatever I pay I do expect to be able to sleep. If the road noise issues were addressed the room would have been absolutely fine. On the plus side however, we didn't experience the constant slamming of doors that you sometimes get in larger hotels.

The hotel appears to appreciate that people wish to arrive early to enable them to head into London. There was no problem with arriving early, and we were advised to check first before going to London as the room may be ready and they'd be happy for us to check in early. Alternatively, if you wish to check in late after spending the day in London, there is someone on duty 24 hours a day. There was parking for 6 cars at the front of the hotel.

Breakfast was a help yourself affair. Tea and coffee was available plus orange juice. To eat, there was a selection of cereals, toast (but only white bread) and pastries. Whilst not a problem for us, it would be worth talking to the hotel first if you have a wheat allergy as there was nothing on offer for you. A cooked breakfast seemed to be available for an additional charge.

If you're looking for a clean hotel that offers good basic facilities because you really only want a bed and shower for a reasonable price with access to London and Wembley then this hotel is a good choice. As long as you avoid the front of the hotel. This seriously affected our enjoyment of the weekend.

Room Tip: Try to get a room at the back of the hotel

Stayed in a deluxe double with my wife. We were there for Saracens v Toulouse at Wembley Stadium.
Room was good size and had all usual facilities. We were at the back of the building and could see the stadium from our window.
Shower room was definitely a bit on the small side but adequate.
There is private parking provided for 6 vehicles and we were able use one of these spaces.
As other reviewers have said, this place is ideal for Wembley events and whilst we taxied both ways (about £7/£8 each way) if you wanted to walk, I guess it would take about 30 minutes.
Staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was on the 2nd floor and there is no lift. However, I was asked on arrival and departure if I needed any help with luggage.
There is a small breakfast room and continental breakfast was included in the deal. We decided to upgrade to a "cooked" for an extra £5 each and this set us up for the day.
Will stay again when and if necessary.

Room Tip: There is a reasonably busy road at the front and whilst I don't know how much difference that ma...
