“Excellent B & B”
Reviewed 16 January 2014

Everything you could want from a b&b. The hotel is centrally located in the middle of Horsham, I had a large and comfortable room. It was spotlessly clean with a spacious bathroom and awesome shower. Lovely high quality bedding.

Situated in the heart of Horsham is this newly converted small hotel where we stayed for 2 nights while visiting family. From the outside it looks very uninspiring but inside the owner has provided a friendly, spacious and thoughtful accommodation. The cleanliness was top notch as were the breakfasts (missed the genuine yoghurt though). The bed in our room (5) was a king with crisp fresh duvet and alongside was a largish bathroom with huge tub and endless hot water. While it did lack a few extras (tissues and flannels for example) we were more than happy with the plentiful supply of refreshments and bath toiletries. The only two real complaints were beyond the proprietor's scope. The bright green Fire Escape light in (every) bedroom and the small car park (though the adjoining pub will allow the occasional overnighter). Yes, Go!

Room Tip: Many have King sized beds; a rare thing in the UK.

Excellent throughout, very friendly and a warm welcome.
All the staff were a great team from keeping the room clean and tidy to a great Breakfast.
We were made very welcome and nothing was too much trouble.
Thanks to you all for a great stay and making us feel at ease.

I stayed here while attending a training course so was only here for one night and other than really bad internet wifi this was perfect for my stay.

It is near town, where all the restaurants are and the bedroom and bathroom were spotless, just a shower not a bath and not very spacious but fine for a short stay. There were some nice biscuits and hot chocolate on the side which is always good.

Breakfast was also good, I had a fry up which was very nice and there was fruit, yoghurt and cereals on the side. I heard someone requesting scrambled eggs so I'm sure if there was something you wanted they could rustle it up.

The only down side was the internet. I could only connect downstairs and in my room I kept losing the connection which was rather frustrating.

All in all a pleasant stay, a definite step up from a Premier Inn or Travelodge and not much more expensive than either. I will be going back again later in October.

We were allowed to check in early and the receptionist was pleasant.
Clean and modern room but uncomfortably hot even with windows open and pedestal fan working.
Allocated room 6, overlooks next door pub. Extremely noisy at night (well past midnight) with noises coming from the pub area. There is an industrial type appliance in the pub area (either air conditioning unit or refrigeration unit) working constantly and disturbing sleep. Conversation could also be heard from the pub area, disturbing sleep.
Hotels are in the business of selling good sleep, so when your sleep is ruined, it is a waste of hard earned money.

Room Tip: Book another hotel.

Perhaps we went in the hight of the season but I thought it was expensive for a B&B. The room we had was as good as any three star hotel. It's location is terrific and having a car park is a real plus.
Staff were helpful and good. Breakfast was OK and fresh the breakfast room is a bit cramped.
Bill's is a terrific restaurant nearby its in the old town hall.

We stayed here for 2 nights recently and were disappointed. On arriving on a Saturday, we were shown to our room, told breakfast was served up to 10am and shown how to lock the door. On Monday morning, we were called at 8.55 to tell us that breakfast was finishing and we'd better hurry - strange. The bed was rock hard and the room stifling hot even with windows open at all times.
