“A most surprising breakfast”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 December 2011

Finding The Orchard by accident on the way to pick up a horse, we stopped in for breakfast not expecting too much. To our delight, we had one of the best full English breakfasts we've had for a long time. The bacon was good and the sausages were obviously home made and delicious.

I would unreservedly recommend a visit if you're in the area.

“worth a visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 June 2011

This restaurant serves lovely home cooked food, the chef is the owner, which i think makes a differance!its well worth a visit if your passing on the A272, or if you just fancy a lovely home cooked meal to give yourself a break from cooking!they also sell their homemade cakes if you just fancy a piece of cake and a cuppa!

“Good service, good food, good value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 January 2011

A former Little Chef restaurant now under private family ownership with greatly improved food and service from those days. On the main A272 between the A24 and Cowfold and adjacent to the Downs link bridleway which is on the route of a closed down railway. They cater for almost everybody from hikers, cyclists and families with children to motorists looking for a good value lunch or even a business meeting. Unpretentious décor so not really recommended for a romantic dinner. Breakfast till 12 noon looks good. The main menu ranges from cream teas through sandwiches and filled baked potatoes to sirloin steak. They serve local or Fairtrade produce wherever possible. Wines from local vineyard available as well as local beer. Very friendly service. All portions are generous and offer good value.
