Just got back from a week here in Bro - in - Laws caravan, pitched just behind the entertainment tent. We had a very relaxed time fishing on 3 of the lakes, caught some great fish, had some meals here & they were very good value for money, sitting on the decking enjoying a drink feeding the ducks in the sunshine was bliss. Shower block was very good & the classical music was a nice touch. The only thing that was a bit annoying was some of the children screaming all the time they don,t seem to be able to talk to each other normally. Some parents let there children scream at & chase the ducks & geese & never said a word. All that aside we will be back to this wonderful site. P.s. Alan was very helpful with his fishing advice, cheers.

Really enjoyed our stay at Sumners Ponds this week. The fishing is excellent with a great variety of lakes and fish to catch, in beautiful surroundings. Everyone seemed very friendly and on speaking to many campers it seemed that nearly all were staying for a second or third time which is always a good recommendation.
Although it is a large site we felt that the staff and management were on top of everything and one morning the owner came to us to speak to us as a small group of young teenagers had been reported to him the previous evening possibly using bad language but they hadn't impacted us at all but he urged us to contact any staff should we be worried about any bad behaviour. We really felt that we were being 'looked after', not something we have found at other large sites.
Can't wait for some more holiday and decent weather to take the family back again!

I just wanted to respond to some of the more negative comments. I live locally and visit Sumners ponds fairly regularly. The place is beautiful and very well run by a family team. Some of the more negative comments are pointless and just not true - readers you have to take them with a pinch of salt. I just think people moan for moaning sake. In particular the reviewer who talked about the VERY hot weekend and wind across the field - my response would be 'lucky things' as we have waited 7 months for some good weather. And if you don't like windy conditions in a field don't camp in the countryside!! With regard to the other comment about the staff including Kim and Jenny who were mentioned - I have always found them and the other staff extremely friendly - even when the cafe gets very busy during peak times they always try hard to be very helpful and aim to give exceptional service even when they are rushed off their feet. All in all it is a wonderful place to fish, camp and relax in a beautiful setting. They have worked extremely hard in constantly changing and upgrading the site - the cafe area has been really well thought out to provide a charming relaxing atmosphere.

Where else near Horsham can you eat a great meal overlooking a lake?

Great food, great staff, great beer, what more could anyone ask for?

This is the third year we have been here. Stayed for a week. This campsite is the most expensive we have ever stayed on. It is excellent for fishing. Quite nosiy at night with large groups could do with a warden to patrol late at night. Some of the guys who have seasonal pitches have a lorry parked up. There where two attempts in one night to steal some of the equipment from lorry. There should be a gate with security code in for campers safety. One toilet block lovely and new but other one is not so good. Toilet seats broken off. Could do with new shower curtains. Considering what they are charging the facilities should be first class. Fresh cooked pizza from £8.50 to £9.50 and not big. If having breakfeast dont bother with the eight pound one have one for £5.00 as not a lot of difference between the two.

Thank you for taking the time to review our site.
I have checked our repairs sheet and have no record of you mentioning "toilet seats broken off" to any of our 5 wardens. It is always a good idea to mention any issues at the time of them occurring, so one of our wardens can put this right straight away, In any case, I have personally checked all 19 toilets on site and have not found any to be "broken off". Perhaps you would be kind enough to contact me for clarification.
I agree that having an entrance gate would be a good idea. We already have plans to install gates to our entrances later this year. Our cleaner does change the shower curtains on a regular basis; however, I shall ask for this to be undertaken more often.
Currently a basic breakfast is £5.85 and the big breakfast is £8.25. The larger breakfast includes tea or coffee (bean to cup), tomato and toast and extra bacon. This represents a saving over buying the extra items separately.
We make our rustic pizzas to order. The price range, per our website, is currently £7.35 to £9.45. All our pizzas bases are homemade and stretched by hand and baked on a stone base pizza oven using the finest of Italian inspired ingredients.
Regards the prices for camping on our site, we regularly review these and that of our competition. We have many repeat bookings made in advance and we have a higher occupancy rate than the national average. All visitors have the benefit of in excess of 40 acres of grass, woodlands and water, that need to be maintained and as such we regard our pitch fees as well priced.
Please do feel free to contact me for further clarification, as above and we do hope to see you on site again in the future.
