This park connects Newbury Park, Ilford, & Gants Hill through the various entrances and as you can imagine is quite big and take some time getting from one side to the other. They have a kids section with swings and obstacle courses, tennis & basketball courts open to all. The courts are not in brilliant condition, but what do you expect for something that is free and was probably made around 20 years ago.

Large pond area near Valentines mansion as well as flower gardens and a variety of trees & wildlife such as birds & squirrels. Quite popular with responsible and irresponsible dog walkers due to the size and the many open fields for fouling.

Always had a good standard of up keep lawns and vegetation are well maintained and it is a clean park, with parks police and park rangers constantly driving around showing their presence. Also quite popular with local stoners who can be commonly found smoking cannabis in various parts that are quite inconspicuous, this may be illegal but these people are harmless are quite friendly.

Other facilities include a park shop that sells refreshments and toilets nearby, both which are of satisfactory standard, although the toilets could do with better lighting & more frequent cleaning. Occasionally there are fun fairs held at this park, they used to be free, but due to the recession they now charge you an additional fee for entrance.

Valentines Mansion was built 1696 for Elizabeth Tilotson window of The Archbishop Of Canterbury. The house was enlarged and changed over the centaury's until it was sold to Redbridge Council in 1912. The park is the former formal garden of the house and maintains the water features and much of the original planting. There is an excellent outdoor gym , a large children's play area and a boating lake in the summer. It is well maintained and there is a Holocaust Memorial close to Cranbrook Road. The park is large so it offers good long walks and each Saturday morning there is usually a fun run.
