“It would be nicer without all the new development”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

Strolled around here several times when the weather has been good, and a few places nearby to eat and drink.
Obviously the constant building is called progress, but i personally feel its been over developed ,however all that aside, its a very nice place to walk your dog and look out at the pleasant view.

“portishead marina”
Reviewed 31 July 2014

nice afternoon out ,plenty of café/eateries nice walk around the marina.Shame the tide was out would like to have seen the lock working never mind plenty of boats to see and the RNLI boats. No guarding from the waters edge so be careful if you have small children keep your eye on them.

“Would have been more if it wasn't for Cafe Gosh”
Reviewed 30 July 2014

Beautiful walks and view but seriously let down by what we thought would be a nice lunch at Café Gosh. The service was appalling, slow, it wasn't at all busy yet it too 15 mins to bring over a coffee and a further 10mins on top of that for 2 toasties which were unexciting to say the least.
Very disappointing, there are lots of other places close by which are far better...don't waste your time or money on this café.

“Great place for a walk”
Reviewed 28 July 2014

Title says it all. It is a great place for a walk and if the lock is working when you are there that is a plus

“Want to see a working lock?”
Reviewed 18 July 2014 via mobile

This Marina is a perfect place to to see a working lock. Small and concise and the ability to easily walk to bridges on both gates means you can see exactly how it works. Perfect for kids education, great Cafe's and restaurants all around too.
