“Just one evening meal, whilst on road trip”
Reviewed 12 August 2014

Having eaten at many Brewers Fayres over the years we know what to expect. We got what we expected, decent food at a decent price. We were staying next door at the Premier Inn so did not have to travel far to eat.
Seemed clean and tidy when we visited. Food was nice and hot, well presented.
We did not go in for breakfast the next morning as we were still full.

“Surprisingly good”
Reviewed 11 August 2014 via mobile

Have lived in town for years and avoided the pub, as assumed would be regular chain low quality. But now having two toddlers the soft play and outdoors climbing apparatus is very welcome.
Have been twice and had Sunday buffets - both times the veg was all excellent, not overcooked and Yorkshires good.
Downsides - our kids don't eat big meals but portions small even for them. The outsides of the pub in garden/play area is in desperate need of new widows and a proper paint job.

“Disgusting”
Reviewed 27 July 2014

The staff are good but that's where it ends. The garden isn't cleaned at night so in the morning when we went for breakfast we were faced with really grubby, stained chairs and carpets, we went outside to have coffee in the garden to be faced with cigarette butts strewn everywhere, napkins blowing around, sauce sachets thrown under tables - all from the previous evening. The tables are pretty much all broken, one window frame is so rotten there is a hole going through into the restaurant. We had been staying at the Premier Inn and I really cannot fathom why the management team who recently transformed the hotel chain into a consistently great place to have a stop-over haven't been brought in to sort these terrible restaurants out, which in recent experience seem to be dive-bombing at a rate of knots - it's certainly putting me off using Premier Inns.

“Pitstop beside the hotel”
Reviewed 23 July 2014

This is where breakfast is served for the nearby Premier Inn - The full buffet selection is ideal to start the day. The bar has a good selection of local brews and a good wifi connection. I didn't have dinner there but it was very busy and they seem to have a wide range of offers. The staff were friendly, helpful and chatty.
