“Forgettable hotel; great staff”
Reviewed 16 August 2013 via mobile

A Premier Inn is just that; particularly old ones like Romford West. They still use physical keys which is a pain when sharing with a colleague. The room was clean and comfortable. The young man at the front desk was very helpful and pleasant.

The restaurant at this property lets it down. The team weren't on the ball, and they only serve breakfast till 9am weekdays which I feel is a bit early. The carvery is decent as well. There is a Sainsburys a 10 minute walk away though if you do need anything.

All Premier Inns are much of a muchness when you stay regularly on business....but I felt I should write a review as the staff were so helpful and friendly!!! Nothing was too much trouble, you just had to ask.
The room was far too warm, but with no air con, a fan was provided, you get get another if you needed extra cooling...and the heatwave is not the hotels fault :)
The food next door in the Moby Dick restaurant was okay, it's a carvery which I usually love, but the gravy was like water, yuk. Again, the staff were friendly enough.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the car park, a bit quieter than the main road rooms

Stayed here on return holiday from France. The girl at reception was lovely and couldn't do enough for us. The night was hot and as the hotel had no air con she gave us extra sheets in case we didn't want to use the duvet. She also gave us a fan to make sure we were comfortable. The only thing that spoilt it was a someone decided to play their car stereo outside in the carpark at 4.30 in the morning, our room was beside the car park. I told the girl the next morning, not as a complaint but the hotel have a guaranteed sleep policy and so she refunded me the nights stay . I wasn't expecting this but thought this was very decent.

i stayed hear at the beginning of july 13
my over all stay was ok i would not recommend any one in a van carrying tools or any thin valuable
as i loaded my van on the saturday morning, when i went back to it i found that the rear lock on the back door had been punched out all my tools were taken and two laptops about £2000 worth.
this was all caught on cctv seeing the three emptying my van, as of yet police have not found them im not to hope full of retrieving anything back.
as to say i will never be staying there again

Room Tip: if you do decide to stay ask for a car park room

Its an average Premier Inn, but not cheap at £95 with a breakfast. Mid week , so rip off the business users. Parking is good. Also the pub restaurant next door is handy and good value. I chose it because it was close to a business meeting.

Room Tip: Keep away from the main road
