Went on a Tuesday as it's Quiz Night, food as usual was excellent, never had a bad meal yet. Quality and quantity are by far superior to other establishments in the area. Quiz nights are fun, the staff are very hospitable. Would have no hesitation in recommending The Prospect Inn for truly great food and service.

Went again last night with 2 friends for a meal there then a great meet the brewer evening ( Timothy Taylor). . Bumped into some very old friends who had moved away and recently come back to live close by..A really great evening again with the meal and a variety of TT beers to taste and buy. Live music playing in the background (discreetly) and lots of folk just enjoying the night and the ambience....... Do nights get better than this... I doubt it because this pub has more than most. Good Homemade Food , great range of Real Ales and atmosphere all served by smiling friendly staff.
Cant wait till we go back in May.
Thanks to Jim and Michelle for making this pub so popular

After seeing this place on trip advisor we where very unsure of weather to visit or not because the menu looked poor to say the least, I've learnt don't judge a place by its online menu!

When my self and my partner turned up we where greeted by a lovely bar man who could not be more helpful if he tried, the menu was a lot more extensive and very good value.

We decided to try the mixed grill and was pleasantly suprised, the chef cooked it exactly how we wanted, and the portion size was epic, the steak was really tasty and would have done by its self but there was a full size lamb chop and a very tasty piece of gammon.

I would have no problem recommending this place to anyone who wants great food on a budget, the atmosphere is really warm and welcoming and you don't feel hassled, we only got asked once if everything was ok with the food (which it was).

If you order the mixed grill don't get a starter or a pudding, I've paid a lot more for a lot less!

Good value for money, home made pub grub. Good choice on menu, and offers such as Steak Night are even better value. Home made chips are fabulous! Service could be a little faster but as it's home made fepreshly cooked chips etc I can accept that! Very pleasant staff. I went with a group of friends and after food we carried on drinking and chatting etc in the nice pub atmosphere. Would definitely go again.
