Reluctantly stayed here for 2 nights on business, only because of location close to our office. Previous experience of the restaurant attached made me a bit wary of staying at what is pretty good premier inn.
Reception was great as always but the room was one of the noisy ones in far corner next to the M56, the window literally overlooks the hard shoulder!
Bar service was very, very slow even though there were plenty of bodies and not a lot of customers. Food was average and okay.
A dreadful noise on 3-4 occasions during the night turned out to be noisy plumbing and was gone on the second night.
Food and service on the second night was the same as the first and compounded by the bar staff closing my tab and then making me wait for 20 minutes for till receipt.
If I have to stay here again, I will either eat elsewhere or even better bring my own food and drink and have it in the room.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms on the far side overlooking the motorway

We've stayed at this hotel a number of time over the past few years as we have family nearby. Now the hotel has been renovated the rooms are lovely and modern with comfy beds and big flatscreen TVs, plus all the tea & coffee you need. We had 2 additional single beds in the room (still only £29!) for the kids and yes its a bit of a squeeze, but we all still slept well. They also upgraded the double glazing when it was renovated so noise from the very close motorway is not a problem ( if you don't mind sleeping with the windows closed). Noise from next door and room above was more of a problem so they could upgrade the internal sound proofing. The welcome is always warm and friendly both at the reception and in the restaurant. We had dinner for 12 people in the restaurant and it was great value with kids eat free deal. Breakfast is also always great and too much to eat.

Room Tip: Try and get a room on the top floor, ideally at the end of the corridor so you'll hear less noise of other people moving about in their rooms

We had 2 rooms for 1 night. Warm welcome, very helpful, even though I had messed up the online booking room configuration. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Evening meal and breakfast were both of excellent quality.

Stayed two nights to visit Norton Priory Quince and Apple Day. Throughout the visit, staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Rooms and bathrooms were very clean - televisions were outstanding. Plenty of tea/coffee available in the rooms, lots of clean towels, extra pillows etc. Only gripe was the beds - you could feel every spring. I put this down to the adverts where guests are shown to bounce on the beds on arrival! and I think this is what caused the problem. Also the rooms were too warm at 23.5 degrees. Breakfast and dinner at Table/Table next door was excellent. Overall good value for money.
