Been to Chartwell a few times now, it is a very beautiful house set in the most amazing grounds. The house is steeped in recent history and full of Sir Winston Churchills belongings and gifts from the great leaders of his era. Well worth a visit, it's good for the soul!

Chartwell is a very interesting property, not least for the Churchill connection, and well worth a visit. The gardens are lovely and the house fascinating. The volunteer room stewards were clearly well motivated, enthusiastic and very happy to share their knowledge. Chartwell is not to be missed if you are in this area.

My husband Simon and I visited Chartwell House where Sir Winston Churchill lived during the war. The grounds are amazing and overlooks the Weird. The house itself is set up in the 1920 - 30's and so much memorabilia. Winston's paintings are amazing and in abundance. Would highly recommend a visit

We enjoyed our visit at Chartwell house. The exhibition is really interesting and I would recommend this place.

We also had lunch at the restaurant. We expected average food from the National Trust but it turned out to be excellent. The scones were particularly tasty served with clotted cream and good quality jam. The terrasse was also very pleasant.

A good surprise overall.
