Really enjoyed our stay here. Room was spotless, decor was modern, bathroom was sparkling. Bed was comfortable with a choice of three pillows. Room had a sofa so was nice to sit and relax before bedtime. Sarah, the owner, was as extremely helpful and made you feel very welcome. Breakfast was delicious with a choice of cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit and croissants.
B&B was about 5/10 minutes walk from St John's Hill, which has a coop for essentials and a choice of a few restaurants, We ate The Row Barge (GU21 7SA) and were pleased with the food there. B&B is opposite a golf course and we had a great view of the pond and green. Surroundings are lovely and everything was peaceful.
Woking centre is about 10 minutes drive away. We only stayed in Woking as a stop off to Kent, and this was a great find!

I stayed at Fordwater for 3 months and cannot recommend it highly enough. Sarah really has got it just right here, the rooms are spotlessly clean and are fantastically furnished and equipped. Everything works and the bathrooms are spectacular in each room, I know this because I stayed in each one throughout my stay! I wanted to take the shower home with me, it was by far the best I have experienced anywhere including in the very best of hotels. The location is also very special and although it is a 30 minute walk to the centre of Woking, (an extremely pleasant way to start the day), the fact that you are residing in such a beautiful setting more than makes up for it. Restaurants and takeaways are only a 5-10 minute walk away. Lastly Sarah is the kindest most helpful host you could ever wish for, withour being in any way overbearing. The breakfasts are fantastic and if you can persuade her to cook dinner for you too then you are in for a treat. I've tried several other B&B's in Woking and this really knocks spots off the rest. Thank you so much for making my stay so enjoyable.

Definately the best b&b we've ever stayed in !
We booked at the last minute & Sarah ,the owner, could n't have been more accommodating- even calling back to ask whether we would like the heating on in the room & what weight duvet would we like.
Lovely room & great faclites - would highly reccommend staying here.

The Fordwater is one of the most pleasant B&B’s that we have ever stayed in.
It is located on a quiet country road across from the Woking Golf Club.
The rooms are newly remodeled, spacious and tastefully furnished with lovely views.
You can relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of the beautiful flower gardens surrounding the B&B or go for a walk on the woodland trail nearby that leads to St. John’s village and enjoy a latte at the coffee shop. The owners, Sarah and Chris are charming hosts and they make you feel very welcome. They offer several options for breakfast and their fresh made oat porridge with a choice of toppings and a cup of fresh made coffee is a delicious way to start the day.
We will definitely be back for another stay at the Fordwater. It is 5-star all the way!

This is an amazing find (should probably keep quiet about it!) A lovely warm welcome from the owners plus a lovely pot of tea and lemon drizzle cake! Fabulous modern and extremely clean rooms, all the amenities you could need, lovely comfy bed. The breakfast included was perfectly adequate (tea, cereal, fresh fruit sale, toast) altho if you want a fry up this is available as an extra) I had a lovely view over woking golf course.
I had 2 nights at Fordwater and is now my preferred place to stay when in that area, just hope its not fully booked!!

5 stars for wonderful value for money. Hidden down a quiet, leafy cul de sac and overlooking a pond with Woking Golf Club 18th hole and pavilion beyond, the situation's perfect. Hostess, Sarah, is welcoming and nothing's too much trouble for her to ensure your comfort, not that there's much to request as she's thought of everything beforehand. The few rooms are spacey and wonderfully well equipped. It really is an ideal place to stay in quiet, nurtured comfort. And only for £75 for b/b (in May 2013).

Very highly recommended!

What a great find! This B&B may only have 2 rooms, but they're more than spacious enough and luxuriously fitted out, with recently completed redecoration ensuring that it all looks fresh. It was spotlessly clean and everything was neat and tidy. Sarah was a perfect hostess, and nothing was too much trouble. The only disappointment was that our plans meant we couldn't stay more than one night! Would definitely stay again when we're back in the area.
