We stayed in a family room set up. The room was clean, modern and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful - we had wet wetsuits and the hotel dried them for us at no extra charge. We ate at the hotel for the 2 nights we stayed and both the food and service were very good. We would be happy to return to this hotel in the future and recommend it. Off road free parking an added bonus.
Thank you so much for your great review We are all deleighted you enjoyed the Gwestyr Emlyn and hope you return again soon

Stayed in this hotel for one night. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome by the friendly staff. The room was very clean and restful, lovely en-suite. We had a snack lunch, evening meal and breakfast. All cooked beautifully with excellent service. Congratulations to this small hotel in a country town setting. Surrounding area is well worth the visit.
Thank you so much for your kind review I will pass on your comments to my staff and we hope to see you again in the very near future.

We stayed here for 2 days and it was perfect. The weekend was very hot, and our room was equally so, we had a huge fan in our room which helped.
Our room was the Brewery it was perfect with a roll top bath and a double shower. The receptionist and indeed all the staff were very friendly and helpful.
We had dinner on our 2 nights it was very good and I noticed the menu had changed which was good.
Car parking was very good with plenty of spaces, a barrier is in place, to get out you have to get a code from receptionist very secure.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.
Thank you for your great review, my staff all appreciate your kind comments and we look forward to seeing you again in the near future.

Stayed for one night last night with my husband as a travel zoo deal as we have stayed here before for full price and liked it.
The decor of the hotel is lovely and tastefully done. We enjoyed cream tea on arrival which was lovely and very generous with the clotted cream and jam!
Our room was very spacious and comfortable, one of the nicest hotel rooms we have stayed in. I was pleased to find a bath in the en-suite which I used, there was even a small hessian bag filled with lovely smelling dried flowers to put in the bath, which I thought was a lovely touch, as well as a few other complimentary toiletries.
We dined out in the evening, although the food in the hotel is first class (from our last visit 2.5 months ago) the restaurant menu hadn't been changed since then, so we drove a few miles to Jamiesons steak house which was amazing.
We had a delicious breakfast this morning before checking out.
Would recommend this hotel.
Although we might not be staying again as it's off putting having the same menu each time we visit.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review the Gwestyr Emlyn we are delighted you enjoyed your stay with us and hope you return again soon.

My wife and I stayed for one night at the Emlyn during a recent business trip. We were tired after our 4 hour drive so we turned in at 10.30 to try and get a good night’s rest. The television in the adjacent room was turned up loud and we put up with the racket for about 30 min before deciding to ask the occupant to turn it down. It was then we realised that the room was in fact empty and the television had been left on. At just after 11pm, I phoned reception with no response and then went down there to try and get the issue dealt with. The hotel was deserted and everything locked up. I went on tour of the downstairs area in search of manager’s office or any caretaking staff – no one around. With no emergency contact number we had to endure the racket all night!!
What kind of room cleaning service leaves an empty room with the TV blaring at a volume that would disturb guests at any hour of the day? What kind of hotel leaves no one to contact in the event of a problem like this? The 2 stars are for the food which was good. We will be asking our business colleagues to choose a different venue for our meeting in future.
Thank you for taking the time to review Gwesty'r Emlyn. Firstly may I apologise for the inconvenience caused and explain the situation. We have recently installed state of the art flat screen televisions .We have since been made aware that they have alarms built in to come on, when set, to wake up a guest. This is what occurred in the adjacent room to you Sir. We have now taken steps to ensure all TV,s are switched off at the mains by our housekeepers so if a guest has set an alarm it will not matter. If like myself and many other persons tv remote controls are beyond my comprehension with unreadable symbols and buttons, something very much for the young texting generation. To the issue of contacting a manager ,all emergency contacts are in the guest information folders in every room on the front page. I as General Manager live on site and am contactable 24 hrs a day, as are a member of my staff when I am off duty. There are also contact cards on the main reception desk with hotel and my mobile number. We are in a very rural area and unfortunately are not a 24hr hotel this is why on quiet evenings we sometimes close up at 11.00pm, after all of our guests have retired for the evening. We take every review seriously and I will follow this reply up with a personal telephone call. Kind regards Keith Eaton GM
