Description: The Blarney Stone Pub is a lovely Irish Pub. We are located in the quaint, water town of Onancock, Virginia, next to the DMV. Established in 2004, we have been catering to locals and visitors for a decade. Our chef prepares daily specials and offers classic favorites, like our hand-dipped fish and chips, bangers and mash and shepherd's pie. If what you are looking for is some local flavor, look no further. Our steamed clams and Portabella Chesapeake are sure to delight. The next time you visit Onancock, be sure to stop by. We would love to have you. See you at the Pub!

The patio was perfect for listening to the local troubadour - wish I could remember his name, but I think it was greg. A voice that recalls jim croce or Gordon lightfoot (and he does covers of both), but if you can, request a couple of originals, especially his Christmas ditty. The Beer was varied, cold and delivered with a smile (course, it might have helped that we had joined with townspeople for the evening!)

Split the shepard's pie: enough for two and delicious! The place is a short walk from The Spinning Wheel.

We were in town looking for a place to dine with boating friends and The Blarney Stone Pub rang the bell as an excellent choice. It is a short walk from Onancock Town Dock and offered a nice venue for friends to talk without having to shout. We were with a large group and there was no issue with separate checks. The menu consisted of a nice mix of "pub" dishes to full meals which enabled us to control individual cost. My Shepard pie and salad was outstanding. Service by Laura was prompt and she got both dinners and drinks spot on the first time. Like Arnold said in the movie, "I'll be back". Bill B.

We stayed overnight in Onancock to break up a long trip. After strolling through downtown Onancock, which just about every store closes up shop promptly at 5pm on Saturdays, we found ourselves in front of the Blarney Stone, and decided to stop in for a snack. We sat at the bar, and were enthusiastically greeted by bartender Sharon. Sharon was wonderful, she was attentive and pleasant, and when she learned we were from out of town, was able to offer suggestions of other must see spots on Virginia's Eastern Shore. Just as we were leaving, the live music started up, which we always enjoy, but unfortunately, we were ready to settle in and rest after a long day. Overall, food was good, ambiance was friendly, and service was excellent. Thanks Sharon!

We traveled up from Cape Charles to explore the 2nd Friday Art Stroll in Onancock. After a pleasant visit to the Art Galleries and Shops we decided to stop for a drink and bite to eat. The pub looked very inviting both inside and out. We decided to eat inside and ordered some beers and appetizers. I decided on the Reuben spring rolls and my husband chose the garlic mussel special. Both were excellent! Our waiter Trey was very attentive and efficient. Would definitely stop there again to explore some of the menu choices.
