We met a home designer there in the early afternoon. Coffee was perfect. The original bank design, complete with a safe was sweet to see. Local art work on display for sale.

“Great Music, Acoustic!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 February 2014

The Bank has its wine and beer license now, with performers every Friday -- singers, instrumentalists. No or minimal (singer's voice) amplification. Can converse, drink, eat, listen, look at the art. Fantastic place, far and away the best on the Eastern Shore for coffee, lunch, etc.

“Biggest & Best Scone EVER!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 January 2014

On the Eastern Shore on business - we found a wonderful little coffee house in Onancock. There are no chains (or VERY few) on the Eastern Shore and this was just the best ever. While I am a Starbucks addict - I truly love visiting locally owned unique shops and restaurants. This one had it all wrapped up with a beautiful bow. Staff was terrific - young lady tried to sell me bottle tea - uggh, but was so gracious about fixing me an "iced" Apricot & Black Tea. Yumm. But the best was yet to come. Scones are my favorite breakfast food - okay it's NOT diet or healthy - but a this scone was the incredible. It far exceeded wonderful or good. It was the best scone EVER. And it was also the largest scone I have ever seen. So large there were leftovers - which I found in my purse a day later and it was yummy even then. If you get to the Eastern Shore this is certainly worth a visit.

And ... it is darling in the bargain. Pottery, sea glass and some of the best smelling and prettiest wreaths ever. Eucalyptus - very reasonably priced - and beautiful. There are cozy recycled chairs and tables scattered around for intimate conversations or business and some stuffed chairs and a couch over near the old fashioned radiators. It was really lovely. Well worth a visit - a much larger menu than we got to sample - but I do plan a return trip.

“Perfect in Every Way”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 October 2013

We LOVE this new coffee house on Main St in Onancock. Great food, great art, beautiful, light-filled space, and of course, excellent coffee. We stopped in two days in a row and enjoyed both coffee and a lunch, including the shrimp salad on a croissant and the grilled cheese special with fontina cheese and mushrooms. Both came with greens and a delicious red cabbage and dried fruit salad. We topped it off with a homemade carrot cake that was exceptionally moist and delicious. The atmosphere is both nostalgic and chic--vintage decorations and furnishings alongside modern art. Lots of seating options--nooks for reading, tables for Internet browsing and eating, a communal table for meetings, and more upstairs! The owners have done a beautiful job restoring this old bank building next to a old movie house. Don't miss the art gallery in the vault. Great location in downtown Onancock. Highly recommend.
