Valentine's Day just happened to fall on the thirty-fourth anniversary of my wife and I meeting. We decided to celebrate by dining at The Inn and Garden, a classy, upscale restaurant where we had eaten many times before an had never been disappointed. We arrived right on time and they were ready for us. The cocktails were generous and perfect, the service attentive. The musician, a talented guitarist who was right behind us, played softly and his music was a wonderful addition to the evening. I ordered the duck consumme with mushrooms and duck meatballs: perfect. The filet mignon, medium rare, likewise, could not have been improved upon and the wine was just right. The eclair for desert was just enough to finish off a lovely meal. My wife's experience was the same and we were still talking about it the next day. The Inn and Garden with Chef Ted is the go-to restaurant in Onancock for an upscale evening.
