This B&B is truly one of a kind. My wife and I have stayed in many B&B's in the US and in Europe, and the Inn at Onancock is one of the very best. The themed rooms are beautifully decorated and vey comfortable. The gourmet breakfasts are delicious, and the "wine down" (complimentary wine and hors d'oeuvres in the evening) is such a pleasant experience, providing an opportunity to meet other guests and to get to know the owners: Lisa and Kris. Ihe Inn at Onancock is a true oasis on the Eastern Shore. We would highly recommend it to anyone traveling in the area. Besides, Onancock is a great place to visit.

We just spent 3 days with Lisa and Kris. Just great. Lovely room, great breakfast, wine & fantastic chesses at 6pm. Several good restaurants close by. We recommend the restauranht in the Charlotte Hotel. The town is very nice - good walks.

This was my second time to visit The Inn at Onancock. Returning this weekend was like going to visit old friends. Kris and Lisa are extremely welcoming and generous with themselves and all that they have at the Inn. Breakfast is served with all the trimmings, (silver, cloth napkins, 3 courses and excellent quality). The rooms are extremely clean and the beds the most comfortable I think I have ever slept in. At 6pm Wine Down hour begins and a very generous platter of nibbles and a delicious wine selection is offered. I can only highly recommend the Inn at Onancock.

We recently stayed at the Inn at Onancock for a one-night visit. We were first expecting to stay in Virginia Beach (too touristy), but luckily, we decided to head on over across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel and were referred to the Inn by the visitor center. This Inn is one of the most beautiful we've stayed at, and we've stayed at many. Lisa and Kris were warm, friendly, and accomodating. The evening Wine and Cheese get together was relaxing and we loved the chat. Lisa is a wonderful chef, so the breakfast is to die for. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated and well appointed - the beds are extremely comfortable. You will get pampered here - no doubt. We hope to go back one day for a [much] longer stay. Thanks Lisa and Kris - pet Sam for us. (Good luck Kris!)

Thanks to the new Welcome Center at the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel, you found us. As we say on our website "We're a short drive to far away." Our guests comment that they feel their blood pressure drop as soon as they cross the bridge. Please come visit us again when you're looking for a perfect getaway.

"Adventure Cyclist" recommends the Delmarva peninsula as one of its top ten tours. After 60+ miles a day in the saddle we found just what we needed at this B&B- a hot bath in the air jet tub, a very comfortable bed, and a multi-course gourmet breakfast of homemade granola, biscuits, omlets spiced with freshly clipped herbs from the garden, and even warm apple crisp for dessert. We had plenty of good coffee, and were refueled and refreshed for our next day of exploring. All of this in very clean, tastefully decorated surroundings. They have room for bike storage in the garage

This B&B deserves the high praise it has gotten in previous reviews! I stayed here for one night in mid-December, and will definitely stay longer next time I come to the Eastern Shore. Where should I start...
The Inn itself is a beautifully renovated Victorian house in a residential neighborhood, but close enough to the little downtown area to walk to dinner and back. Kris and Lisa are friendly and quite knowledgeable about the area, and Sam the dog is sweet and mellow (much more likely to sit at your feet than jump up). Also, Lisa can be quite easily lured into a discussion about books and authors, if you are so inclined :) . I stayed in the Williamsburg room, which has a comfy pillowtop mattress and a fireplace, and a large bathroom complete with cathedral ceiling, chandelier, and heated towel rack...and unlimited hot water. There was a bit of traffic noise from this room, but it died down almost completely by 11, and I slept quite well.
Lisa provided an excellent dinner recommendation (The Charlotte), after whetting my appetite with a wonderful Cabernet Sauvignon and cheese selection, and even called to tell them I was coming. Breakfast the next morning was a tasty affair, with some sweet and some savory items, and a definite French influence.
I must mention that this is one of the CLEANEST places I have ever stayed in. My room and the bathroom were absolutely spotless. And I didn't notice so much as a single black Sam-hair anywhere in the house (except on Sam).
There is a library with a good selection of books, as well as a giant flat-screen TV. Also, check out the huge gourmet kitchen. This place is very tastefully furnished and a lot of love has gone into making it beautiful...but it isn't the type of house where you're afraid to sit on the furniture or touch anything. I felt very comfortable here. Kris and Lisa felt like friends by the time I left.

The Inn is a true find: extremely comfortable -- and tasteful, room, and with superb food. Both of our hosts, Kris and Lisa, are immediately likable and forthcoming. Sampling cheeses and wines on the patio, or in a comfortable Living Room, reinforced our very favorable response. We'll certainly return, and hopefully for longer than just two nights.
