“Glass Bottom Boat”
Reviewed 22 January 2014

The double decker boat picks you up on the beach at a few hotels in Cayo Coco. Namely the Melia Cayo Coco, the Sol Cayo Coco, the Tryp Cayo Coco and maybe another one too. We started from the Melia and after picking up guests at the other hotels headed for the reef located about one kilometre from the beach facing the Melia. Once there the captain went down under the boat with some bread to attract schools of fish so that everybody could see them close under the two windows on the bottom of the boat. The boat stays about 45 min on the reef and those so inclined can put on mask, snorkel and fins (provided) to go in the water and explore the reef. The price was 25 CUC per person including free drinks on board. There is a toilet on the boat. 2 excursions a day. One starts at the Melia at 11:00 and the second one starts at 14:00.
