My organization runs mission trips to Haiti. I need my groups to be safe, healthy and well rested at night so we can work hard during the day. Over the past three years we have stayed exclusively at the Hotel Cyvadier. I recommend it highly. The rooms are very nice, clean and comfortable. The food is excellent, especially the local fresh seafood. The service is exemplary with a courteous staff always ready to help. The resort like grounds are walled and patrolled by guards at night, a necessary reality in Haiti. Under the management of Christoph Lange, this hotel is well run, well maintained, and beautiful- truly an oasis in a very difficult land.

A nice hidden place, that has the potential to become s shining star as it still need some maintenance and improvements of service.
Even though the waiting time after ordering dinner was considerable, the friendliness of serving is missing.

Rooms are simple but clean.
Air con works after 6 pm.
Ask the reception to get your room sprayed as I had many, many mosquito's in my room. Rooms are not provides with mosquito nets (also an improvement not only to take in consideration).
I think the price for this place is ok.

Braekfast could be a bit better

What makes Cyvadier Hotel is good place to relax is the family atmosphere that the owners/inn keepers, mom and son Christophe create at the hotel. I keep on returning to Cyvadier for the ambiance and the tranquility it offers to its guests. Dinning at Cyvadier is a wonderful experience also, you are enjoying good food listening to birds singing and observing a sunset over the ocean through the leaves of the coconut trees. Not too pricy for what it offers as location but pricy nonetheless for what it offers as far as lodging is concerned.

we spent two days here in may 2014. the hotel is gorgeous - the grounds are beautiful with flowering trees and bushes everywhere. the service is excellent and the staff is extremely attentive and friendly. the room was large, clean and very comfortable. the beach is very small and not especially nice but it was clean and perfect for a quick dip in the ocean.

Room Tip: go for the bigger room with private balcony - totally worth the extra $

This is definitely Jacmel´s choice number one.
You get whatever you need in hotel Cyvadier and you would be surprised by the staff services standard which is way above the average of Haitian standard. Beautiful view from the terasse, great and clean rooms, amazing food menu (you can rarely find something non Creole in Haiti), pool and it´s all based in a quite zone of greater Jacmel. Absolutely recommended. I would definitely come back soon..

I was traveling with a group of folks from North Carolina holding a teacher workshop at Trinity House and L'Ecole Trinite in Jacmel and we had the good fortune to stay at Cyvadier Plage. It was a wonderful experience all around, from the welcome we received on arrival through the kind and gracious service from the staff and the owner to the amazing setting. Our spacious room overlooked the bay where we swam each evening, and dinner was on the Terrace overlooking the same scene. The food was abundant, local and delicious, and after dinner we were lulled to sleep by the faint sound of the waves. To top it all off, the owner is engaged with the community, giving back to a local school. I could not recommend it more highly.

Room Tip: If you want an amazing deluxe suite, choose the Kay Soleil--its a bit more but the view is spectacul...

I was recommended to stay here by my Aunt who lives in Haiti. Absolutely amazing. Will be recommending this to anyone who aims to visit Jacmel or even Haiti.

Quiet and refined, with amazing service and food - I would call it 5 star service. Free WiFi to connect to the outside world. It's a Secure, and hidden resort just off the beaten track, just a taxi ride away from Jacmel.

Rooms were comfortable, and spacious with a large bathroom, and a comfortable bed.
Spread over several buildings, and over two floors; you are given the option of fan cooled or A/C. Ask for what you prefer.

Food was amazing; whether its breakfast, lunch or supper - always a great choice, and amazing too.

One not to miss!!! Thanks for the great stay!

Room Tip: Rooms are avaliable with either Air Conditioning or Fan. Make sure you request what you prefer when...
