The Flamenco Beach is ABSOLUTELY one of the MOST beautiful Beaches in the world.
It has Kiosks where to eat....BUT YOU CANNOT take BOTTLES of Beer on the Beach...
As a Resident of the Big Island of Puerto Rico...and ask all visitors to all our Islands to PLEASE do not leave garbage on any of the Beaches.

A must see!! I wouldn't recommend the ferry since the lines are long and people wait for hours to board. Also, locals get priority so even if you wait you aren't guaranteed a spot for the long ferry ride. We took a 12 minutes flight from Ceiba airport through Air Flamenco. Best decision yet! Beautiful aerial views too! A must see!! Rent a jeep if you want to see Tamarindo Beach or other snorkeling locations.

We spent an entire day at Flamenco beach and it was truly an amazing experience. We flew to Culebra from Ceiba on Air Flamenco which worked out well with kids. It was a 15min flight and allowed us to really enjoy the gorgeous beach. It was as beautiful as the pictures - white power sand and crystal clear light blue water. It was like being in a giant swimming pool. One thing I would do different the next time is to rent a jeep from the airport for a couple of reasons. One, the beach food kiosks were too simple, lacked cleanliness and food variety, and second, I think we could have squeezed in a second beach if we had the transport. I was told that Zonni beach was another must-see beach on Culebra. Do not miss this beach if you visit Puerto Rico.

Flamingo beach is the same as Flamenco Beach. So in other words it's amazing. One of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Snorkels ,swim with turtles , standup paddleboard or even go camping. Enjoy two places other than camping to stay on the speech. It was nice because it wasn't always packed with people.

The beach is beautiful and well worth the hassle of getting there! We flew on March 20, 2014.

Don't even bother with the ferry - we waited in line for the ferry for 2 hours and it was actually sold out before we even got in line at 7 AM...it is an operational mess and you are not going to get tickets. I stood in line while my husband tried to haggle with locals. He talked to a local cab driver for a while - the locals buy all of the advance tickets for the morning ferry (about a month in advance) and the day of tickets (at 5 AM) so there are just a few left for tourists, if any at all. The locals then sell the tickets to the tour companies. You have to book about a week in advance with the tour groups to get ferry tickets. When we left at 9 it was unclear if people would be able to buy afternoon tickets or not - which won't help you for a day trip.

A few other things we learned:
-You can only buy day of tickets at the window, meaning you can't buy one for tomorrow or the end of the week
-There is an advance ticket booth in the back parking lot kind of hidden, but those tickets are a month out
-The "scalpers" are really the tour companies, so you have to buy a snorkel package to get tickets

After all the hassle we drove to the local airport to try to fly that day, they were also sold out. We booked tickets from San Juan the following day. The flight was beautiful. If you are lucky you get to sit up front with the captain. You also then arrive at the beach before all the tour groups - get set up to the left and enjoy your day!

If I were to do it all over I would have just booked flights from the get go - saved the time of driving from san juan, time in line and car rental. You might get lucky and get tickets for the ferry, but the flight was one of the best part of our trip. Highly recommend it!
