This upstairs apartment has been completely remodeled and comfortably furnished. It's the perfect size for 4 people! Very close to downtown, in a quiet neighborhood. Nice cross-breezes kept the house cool. The manager lives downstairs and is very friendly and helpful. The unit was professionally cleaned before our arrival and good coffee was provided for us. Everything was in working order and we could simply relax and enjoy the view. Also, there are screens on every window and door, so the mosquitos and geckos are kept outside where they belong!
If you rent a golf cart or jeep (and you probably will want to, unless you are very fit) it's nice to have the off-street parking area in the rear of the house.

We stayed at this property for four days and three nights in November of 2014. The owner (Jaime) and manager (Deedee) were both fabulously responsive to my phone calls both before and during the stay. They were always quick to return my calls and happy to provide advice not only on how to enjoy the property, but the island of Culebra as well. DeeDee even offered to meet us at the ferry dock and take us back to the property personally.
The rental unit is the upper floor of the home. DeeDee (the property manager) lives in the unit on the lower floor. It was great to have her so close when we had a question or problem. She is very quiet and respectful and were never disturbed by her presence in the unit below.
The home has two bedrooms, each with a 3/4 bath. One has a queen bed, the other has a bunk-bed with a lower full and an upper twin-sized mattress, so if you are traveling with teenagers, brace yourself for some sparring over the sleeping arrangements ;-) There is also a pullout in the main living area which can sleep two. We did not use this, so I can't comment on how practical and comfortable it is. Both bedrooms have wall-unit air conditioners. The main area has none, but there are ample screened windows that can be opened to encourage airflow.
There is a dryer on the porch of the rental unit which is free to use to dry your beach towels at the end of the day. DeeDee has a washing machine in the lower level unit where she stays and will run laundry for you at 10 dollars per load.
Mosquitoes are prolific on the island, so keep the screens in place and use some of the insect killer spray before you leave the property for the day so that you can come back to a minimum of insects waiting to feed on you after a full day of dealing with them on the beach (pack your DEET!) You will also have to closely monitor the windows on the East side of the home, as the rain usually blows in from that side. We had to dash to close those windows a few times as brief but heavy rainstorms popped up.
Deedee has two very cute, quiet, well-behaved dogs who paid us regular visits on the porch of the property. She offered to restrain them during our visit, but we enjoyed their company so much that we wouldn't have any of that. If you feel differently, she seems happy to comply. The next-door neighbor also has a large collection of cats, all of which seem well-cared-for. A few of them found the courage to approach us, but were never a problem.
The kitchen is very well appointed considering the location and price. Small appliances such as a microwave, coffee maker and even an espresso machine are all provided. Sundry items and even a full spice rack are all there. We were a bit shocked to learn that there is no hot water in the kitchen, but apparently this is the norm in this region, so pack your patience for hand-washing dishes with cold water.
After a dismal attempt at enjoying some fine dining on our first night in Culebra, we instead loaded up on groceries at a small market and cooked our own for the remainder of the stay. Cutlery, cookware and the electric range were all clean, good quality and in working order.
The driveway is steep (welcome to Culebra!) and grass/dirt, so you should consider renting a Jeep if you plan to stay here. We did and it made it much easier to get around the island as well as back home.
The view is very nice. Sunrise happens just over the bay and except for a few power lines which make snapping the perfect photo from the balcony a bit challenging, it really is a wonderful sight to wake up to.
In summary, this place is extremely well appointed for a home in Culebra (Mainlanders - adjust your expectations!). The property is situated centrally on a neighborhood street of the island. It is off of the main road that leads back and forth from town to the beaches, so traffic noise is not an issue, but you should expect a bit of late night or early morning noise from the many cats, roosters and other critters that wander the island at night.
Overall, I think this property offers a very comfortable place to stay as your explore Culebra. If we ever return, we will certainly stay here again.

Perfect spot to see the bay from the balcony. House was clean and everything was new. I do recommend to rwnt a Jeep to enjoy all the spots on Culebra. My wife loved the expresso machine and the fully equipped kitchen. Good stay for us, I do not regret to book this place thru TripAdvisor.
