Very relaxed with lovely fresh food from the local area. Great service. Not on a main road but readily available with heaps of parking.

“Disappointing..”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 July 2013

I used to love this place when it was formerly 'Bargara Berries' and sold pancakes amongst other things. The pancakes, what it was famous for, are no longer available. The food we had was average and not worth a second visit. The drinks although orders all together came out in 10 minute intervals rather than all together. Tables are too close. Won't be back.

“A bit disappointing”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 July 2013

Hadnt been here for a number of years, but as we had some overseas visitors with us (who had eaten here years before), we decided to call in and get some strawberry pancakes.

We ordered a selection of pancakes, smoothies and milkshakes. The disappointing aspect was that the pancakes cost $16 and for that you got 2 pancakes, cream, maple syrup and a small amount of strawberries. A couple of the group noticed that their strawberries were discoloured and bruised, so I assume they were using seconds. No need to really when the first grade strawberries (100% perfect) are being sold in the shop out the front.

I won't go back to the café, but will still continue to buy my strawberries from the shop out the front (different owner).

I must say though, that the staff were lovely.

We ate here about a year ago and loved it . Booked again 2 months ago and they remembered us!! ( no we did not do anything wrong!) but had to cancel when my wifes father died and they were so understanding , On my way back this week and it is amust to return to. The food is finger licking good and fresh . you can see it being prepared in the spotless kitchen.
Can highly recomend .

“Quality food, good value.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 January 2013

Interesting spot..down a side road and at the back of a strawberry farm ! But well worth the effort to find. Attractive outdoor seating without being crowded. Meals can be on the slow side as nothing is pre-cooked. Lovely and fresh with generous servings. Daily Blackboard specials add variety to the extensive menu. Lots of GF choices. Home made desserts are simple and tasty at $7. Coconut Prawns are large, sweet and worth a return trip. Probably the best value for quality food in Bargara.
Having said that, my only gripe would be that the $8 thickshake wasn't thick or good value. Drink the coffee !!
