The garden villas really were a lovely surprise. Like little A frame houses but with an almost Japanese feel once the doors were opened. You entered into a lounge come small kitchenette area and beyond that was a beautifully appointed bedroom and bathroom. We loved the decor and found our whole stay very comfortable. Be careful on the garden paths though as they are quite uneven due to tree roots pushing up the path in places.
The wifi was only available in the breakfast eating area, but was fast and free.
The restaurant seemed to have closed down and we were recommended to try the restaurant up the road which was very good. Upon reading some bumph, I discovered that they were both owned by the same chain so guess that the restaurant in our hotel had closed down due to cost savings.
We couldn't do the penguin walk as it was cancelled due to low numbers - i.e. just 3 of us!
We had breakfast the next morning which was basic but great - nice yoghurt, cereals, toast etc. Nothing cooked fresh or to order though.
Overall, I would highly recommend.More
