We stayed 3 days over a long weekend and found the cabins conveniently located right on the doorstep of Penfolds and many other great wineries. The new owners were lovely especially with the young children, introducing them to the chooks, pony and alpaca's they have on site. The cabins are well equipped and we loved the communal outdoor fire pit. We will be back!!!

Room Tip: The cabins are two side by side which are great for sharing with families or friends

Stopped at the cabins as the last stop on our trip. The place has been taken over by new owners and they have done a Brilliant job in doing it up. The rooms are large, clean and have wood heaters and spa's. The new owners are really friendly and just can not help enough. Ran into them at the Angaston markets and felt like a local when they greeted us and stopped for a chat. Had the best time and can not recommend it enough. Right in the heart of Seppeltsfield with commercial and boutique wineries everywhere.

Ray, the new owner couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Great way to see the barossa at your own pace with several wineries at your doorstep. Lovely and clean cabins with wine glasses on the ready.

They say first impressions matter and it's true, they do. Our hopes were high as we drove up Seppeltsfield road with the old Barossa vines and the palms lining the road, looking out for the place we drove past it, the sign is faded and overgrown. So turn around and up the driveway to the main house that serves as the reception and we started having doubts. The grass and gardens are overgrown and there's scrap steel and old cars all over the place.

So we found the bloke we needed to find and he walked us up to our cabin, be warned the driveway is rutted and washed out. There is also a large step-up onto the concrete drains. The Forester did it but I'd be really careful with a Commodore or anything smaller or lower.

We were let into the room and the bloke started going through everything with us and basically he doesn't care what you do, even encouraged trying to hit the roof with the spa jets. Oh and the Breakfast part of the deal is he gives you the ingredients and you cook it yourself, nice idea except the room smells of bacon after.

The Room its self. It looks like each cabin has 2 rooms in it and you get;

Kitchen area, Fridge, sink, cupboards, kettle, and portable hotplate.

Bed with Clock radio built into the head

TV with is big enough for the size of the room but the fact you need to fiddle with it for it to work properly is a bit off putting

Sauna, Didn't use, Didn't want to, no light in there to see what you're doing and no instructions for use either.

Bathroom, The chipboard that made up the vanity unit was swollen from moisture and going mouldy. The shower head is above the spa and with no curtain of any kind the whole bathroom gets wet and it's not a small step from the bath to the floor either. And the box next to the spa is just the pump cover so don't try to stand on it.

Front screen door was sticking closed and very difficult to open at times.

Some of the units had towels and sheets up in the windows and it was just generally a bit of a hole in what is one of Australia's biggest Tourist hotspots. It wasn't cheap and we thought maybe we were expecting too much but our thoughts were confirmed when a local told us that the previous owners had burst into tears upon seeing the state of the place.
