We needed to find somewhere to stay overnight in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne on the night of my daughters 21st birthday.
The initial phone enquiry was handled professionally, and the delaings that we had with the proprietor were very friendly.
The room was comfortable and perfect after a night of partying with family and friends.

Over the past 3 - 4 years, we have had reason to stay at this very pleasant little motel - it is very convenient as it is just around the corner from where our daughter lives with her ever increasing family. The beds are really comfortable and there is plenty of room for us to spread out our personal things without these getting in the way of housekeeping. The bathroom is a good size and this time we were able to get a walk in shower (most important for myself as I have very great trouble getting into the deep baths that are in most of the other rooms). Bryn and Karen Hall were very good hosts - Bryn greeting us very pleasantly, already aware that we were due in the door at the time we arrived. He was very willing to let us have the room with the walk in shower and spent time checking that all was suitable for our needs. Karen was a very interesting lady, did great breakfasts and both were only too willing to help us with our needs. I am led to believe that upgrades to further improve the place are now being undertaken e.g. new split system air conditioners. Keep up the good work as we will be visiting again.

Room Tip: Rooms further back from the street are quieter. Get to know your hosts. They can be really helpful...

The room was great but the friendly welcome was non existent. The gentleman at reception if you can call him a gentleman was much to be desired. The first statement was who are you with? my answer my name is *** I have a booking with you for today and I am here with a friend. Receptionist " i dont have you down at all on my bookings. My response "I only booked about 3 hours ago on the internet. His response "the owner didnt tell me that you were coming and I havent looked at my emails yet" hmmmm , "I hope you have paid the right price on line because some times booking on line come through and they are not the right price" by this time I was ready to tell him to shove his accomodation. I suggested to him that It would be a good idea to check his emails in the future. He then responded " I probably will be able to find you a room" he looked at my printed booking confirmation and stated oh yes you have paid the right price. Then gave me the key to our room. Then I have a stressful day with my ill mother and come back to get in the spa bath to unwind and relax and it doent work it is broken that just topped off my stay at this place. For those intending to stay the room was lovely , clean, Mini bar all great but the receptionist and spar finished me off for good I would never again will I say here.
