“Coral Bay Jan 2014”
Reviewed 28 January 2014

We stayed in 2 bedroom cabin, which was perfect for us. The cabin was clean, well appointed with a full size fridge and 4 burner gas stovetop, with new towels being provided every few days. The proximity to the beach is great, with a nice short walk to the shops. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back.

The family villas are very clean, spacious, well-appointed and like-new. The large full size bed is located in the main room, and there is a bedroom that has a single bed and a bunk bed, so you can sleep five total. The kitchen has a dining table with four chairs, two-burner electric stove, full-size refrigerator, electric tea kettle, toaster, microwave. There is a washing machine, and detergent is provided. There is a TV in the main room and in the bedroom. Outside the unit, there is another dining table, and a place to hang laundry. There is a BBQ area.

On the downside, the units are clustered together at the top of a hill, so you can clearly hear conversations from the neighboring unit. You overlook the camp grounds, and can see the ocean over the treetops, so the view is fair but not spectacular. There is a boardwalk that takes you to the parking lot, and then you cross the street to reach the beach, which is small but very beautiful.

While the cost was very expensive, we had a very enjoyable stay.

We decided at short notice to make our way to Coral Bay for NYE 2013/14. Due to the post Xmas holiday peek we were quite limited in the availble accomodation so decided to stay in a Villa in the CVP. I was very surprised when we arrived and found that we weren't in a mobile donga in the park itself but in one of the 10 new villas constructed on the top of a hill at the side of the park. Complete with open and sweeping views out over Coral Bay, the villa was well equipt and comfortable. A set of bunks and single bed in the bedroom, and a queen sized bed in the main area. Kitchen table with a full sized fridge and a washing machine and clothsline (with pegs!!!) Tiled throughout, this was a delighful and relaxing 2 day break. The outdoor table on the deck overlooking the bay was a delight. There is also a common BBQ area in the complex with outdoor tables, but we didn't get a chance to use it. There is a boardwalk and some timber steps that lead to and from the CVP entrance making walking in and around Coral Bay much easier than driving up and down the hill. Kangarros and parrots also abound with our kids loved and I am not sure I've seen a more stunning beach anywhere in Australia? All you need to do is get there and relax!

Room Tip: Villa's on the left hand side of the hill have an ocea view.

Well, our family have stayed at coral bay before and we liked it then. This trip started 3 days before we arrived at "people's park" and all I can say is its fantastic. Booked for a week with the ability to extend out to 10 days was no hassle,Grass areas nice shady trees and big camping sites. Very busy in January but that didn't stop the workers from saying hi and having a little chat with us. Fantastic fresh water showers and less than 1 minutes to the shops and pub. This is now our only caravan park stop in coral bay.
Brilliant

We found this caravan park to be clean and close to the beach and other facilities. The staff were friendly and helpful. We meet a number of other travelers from around the world who added a cosmopolitan feel to our stay. Would recommend this park to others.

Facilities we're clean, sites were grassed and level, easy walking distance to shops and cafe's and restaurants. A reasonably quiet picturesque location with great snorkelling opportunities, with beautiful beaches and water colour. The coral boat tour was ok

Camped here for 4 nights in a tent on a powered site & loved it...
Having read some mixed reviews I was a bit apprehensive but thought it couldn't be as bad as Bayview park next door and I was right! We found all staff to be extremely friendly & helpful.. The park is absolutely spotless... Good ablution blocks... Large camp kitchen with fridge etc & BBQ areas located around the park all which have nice eating area.. Would recommend and will definitely return :)
