“Great stay!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 August 2014 via mobile

We stayed here in august 2014 and we stayed in one of the lodges. We had our own bathroom and kitchen which was perfect! Nothing really to complain about as we were hardly in our room so based on our time here I would stay here again.
Having everything in walking distance in coral bay makes it so much more enjoyable. No complaints here.

We have been going to Coral Bay almost every year since 1999, and we have always stayed at Bayview. Initially we stayed in the 'White House', then for the next ten visits or so we stayed in the villas along the front and then we bought a caravan and since then we have stayed in the van on a powered site. The park is large and has an extensive range of accommodation types - from unpowered camping sites up to hotel type villas, 'The Lodge' and the 'White House', but whatever type of accommodation you are looking for I recommend booking in advance. When it comes to caravan parks I tend to judge on the basis of whether the shower water is hot and whether it is supplied at reasonable pressure, and Bayview scores well on both these points. Some amenities blocks are new and some aren't, but the water is hot and high-pressure everywhere. Be aware that the water supplied to caravan sites is artesian, so it is salty and unsuitable for drinking, but good quality drinking water is available at specified taps situated around the park.

Room Tip: Book in advance. Coral Bay is remote, and it is a long way from Exmouth (the closest town) so make...

This is a good park and has been gradually improving over the years
it pays to book ahead as it gets very busy in peak season
its a dog friendly park
had a non power site for 4 days and it was great
some of the sites are a bit small for large caravans
it has a good swimming pool & bouncy balloon for the kids
Coral Bay is well worth a visit it has beautiful beaches

Room Tip: book ahead to avoid disapointment

Coral Bay is very small. Just 4 caravan parks, a few shops and the glorious bay. Bayview was the cheapest of the four for an ensuited room with cooking facilities. The room is located at the back behind the caravan park so no view of the bay. The unit is big compared to other caravan park units we stayed in before. It had a queen size bed and a single bed with a pullout bed. So we can fit 4 into the room. It has a table with 4 chairs, small fridge, microwave and a stove top with the usual cookware and cutlery. The TV is small but the reception is good. There is no service. The room is not cleaned for the three nights that we are there. No service provided. The bed is comfortable. No wifi. A good place to stay in Coral Bay.

Food and grocery are well stocked in the shops but very expensive here. Please stock up in Carnavon or Exmouth before driving here.

A lovely relaxing experience! We didn't intend to stay in Coral Bay. We were just going to have a look and drive on. However, the atmosphere of the place was immediately apparent so we booked in to the Bayview Tourist Park. We travel with our 2 dogs in a 24' van. The site was a squeeze but did fit with a bit of juggling and direction from our friendly neighbours. Site was the only one left in the 'pet' section and we hadn't booked so we are grateful to have been able to stay. Would definitely stay again. At this time of the year weather is beautiful so it's advisable to book ahead!

The Bayview Coral Bay Chalets are a mixed bag. On the one hand, there is a kitchen, refrigerator, funky but workable stove, dishes and pans. The bed is reasonable. The shower was the best we found in our entire trip, a vertical spa and that was important because it turned quite cold, getting down to 7.7C or 46F, at night and we had come to swim with whale sharks. The food in Coral Bay proper was more expensive than the rest of Australia. So, we used the kitchen extensively, usually eating out for only one meal a day. The mixed bag was that Chalet was a word to be used loosely. It sounds more elegant than reality. The front door had such a wide gap at the bottom, we got the cigarette smoke from the next door chain smoker. The bathroom window had slumped down, leaving a gap at the top. We used paper towels extensively to fill the gaps to hold in the heat. The Chalets were termed "self catered", meaning we were to sweep, dump garbage, clean the dishes and the refrigerator or we would be charged extra. Basic lodging.

Room Tip: There was a more luxurious hotel in the town, owned by a different company, but it cost more and did...

We have just returned from our first visit to Coral Bay in 14 years. We finally were able to take our children up to show them a place which is so special to us. Our children now share our love for Coral Bay - it wo t be so long till our next visit.

We stayed in a Queen Villa. It was a brillant place to stay, sitting on our patio each day having breakky or watching the amazing sunset. The beds were comfy, kitchen well equipped for everything we needed.

Reception staff, booking ticket staff, housekeeping - were all too accommodating.

Our son would disappear for hours to play in the playground with new-found friends, or we would lie around the pool relaxing.

We spent our last night having a family dinner in the restaurant, and had a great night with wonderful food. The staff there were brillant in cooking a meal for our child with food allergies.

We drove out of Coral Bay and were all abit sad. Our only disappointment was having to cancel a fishing charter due to strong wind conditions, so make sue you book these early to allow for rescheduling.

We are already looking at dates for our next trip to gorgeous Coral Bay.
