Walked in The Blue Duck to satisfy my wife's curiosity as it was recommended by her friends. We had the Blue Duck Taste Plate (chorizo and octopus were yummy) and Eton Mess. White wine (Akoomi) recommended by waiter (Todd) was excellent - my wife who is not usually a wine drinker loved her glass of wine.
Eton mess for dessert may look a bit messy for some people, but really really tasty. It leaves you wanting more.
Initially sat outside on the deck to watch the sunset, but as it was getting cold and windy, as well as cloudy (May 27 2014), we decided to go inside to better enjoy the food and view of the setting sun behind the clouds. View was still spectacular through the floor to ceiling windows.
All in all, my wife and I enjoyed the food and the view. Service was prompt and genuinely friendly. I liked that even in my walking shorts I could enter a casual restaurant with good food and service such as this.
Plan to return and have lunch or dinner there again soon.
