Myself and three friends dined at Clarks last night. The ambience was good, food was excellent, well presented although side dishes were expensive for the amount of food. Desserts were also delicious. We were advised we could bring our own wine which we did but the corkage charge was $32 for the four of us which we found to be excessive. There was no mention of corkage price on the menu and admittedly we should have asked. They also charged for three side dishes as opposed to two and I have noticed this happens a lot in restaurants in Perth- one extra coffee, one extra glass of wine- so it is always worth checking the bill. When we questioned the corkage charge there was no way the manager was going to be more accommodating. There are plenty restaurants in Perth which deliver as good food, Preggo's e.g. which means we shall not be returning to Clarks. Four people taking three different friends there would amount to approx. $1000 and their friends etc. The manager is obviously prepared to loose business. Not good customer service.
