“Takeaways have precedence”
Reviewed 5 February 2012

We went for dinner on the night before the Martinborough Fair and had to wait far too long to have our meal. Because we had nothing else to do we stayed but many did not. It appeared to us that the takeaway business is the restaurant's bread and butter and as such took precedence and those dining just had to wait. The meal when it finally did arrive though was very tasty

We often get take out from here and it has the best Pad Thai in the Wellington/ Wairarapa region! Yum!

“Consistently yummy Thai food”
Reviewed 19 September 2011

My latest visit here was for a take away. This is one of Martinborough's most affordable restaurants which offers consistently good food and service. If 'Tom' is on duty you can expect the traditional Thai welcome Sawadee Ka and much bowing.

It's the only place which allows BYO alcohol so it's a favorite of many who enjoy it's laid back style, long refectory tables and casual dress and dining ambience. It's great for a friends get together.

For the take away, which is a few bucks cheaper than the eat in option, I had the Pad Thai and Red Curry which were tasty, fragrant and spicy (just as I like them). They do a good chicken sate here too and their peanut sauce is tasty.

Two mains, rice, roti and a starter for $40, not bad. Enjoy!
