The Old Manse makes a great base to explore the Wairarapa. From the rugged south coast at Cape Palliser to the Mount Bruce wildlife sanctuary the Old Manse is perfectly placed. Hosts John and Sandra have a detailed knowledge of the area and helped us make the most of our visit. The well restored building has large en suite bedrooms and a spacious lounge area for residents use. 'Drinks at six', great breakfasts, good lighting and free Wifi complete the picture. Martinborough continues to develop with good cafes and a two screen cinema and I haven't even mentioned the wineries.
