“Didn't want to leave!!”
Reviewed 20 January 2014

Staying at Kauri Park Motel was wonderful. It was so relaxing, peaceful and private. Being nestled amongst the trees/gardens was simply beautiful. We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit and received complimentary drinks on arrival, an unexpected treat! The unit was great, beautiful leather couches and chairs, king bed and two singles in spacious bedrooms (master had tv). The kitchen had everything you could need including decent sized mugs! The shower was just as good as ours at home, great pressure and much bigger than the shoe boxes found in a lot of motels! The unit was very clean. Our little patio looked out onto a nice tree lined lawn, a great place to sit and watch kids play or enjoy the tranquil setting. The swimming pool area was lovely and the pool well maintained. 2 nights was not long enough...we'll just have to go back for more!

We called in last moment. Very clean, comfortable and welcoming. Offered a complimentary drink on arrival. Own balcony. Excellent value for money. We had a two bedroom unit. Breakfast was fantastic, went out of the way to provide a Gluten Free option for my wife. Will be stopping here again. Have just returned from staying at 5 star hotels in Singapore and Malaysia. This was well above them in comfort, cleanliness and space. Very well presented.

Booked at last minute after reading Trip Advisor comments. Booked for one night but decided to stay for 2. Lovely welcome and offered a complimentary drink on arrival. The room was spotless and it was lovely having your own balcony with your own little garden. Very good value for money. You would not be disappointed with this motel.

We happened on this motel by chance. From the onset this was a wonderful experience. Dallas welcomed us at reception and took great efforts to see we were well catered for. The units were immaculately clean and beautifully appointed. We were enchanted by the gardens. Dallas helped us pick macadamia nuts and crack them. He was concerned at the comfort of the fold out queen size bed; yet there was no need. It was a great bed to sleep on.
Value was excellent. In a week of touring in Northland this was just $10 more than some very questionable places we stayed at. For all the luxury and seclusion what an absolute bargain.

I can only rate this place as incredible with top credit for impeccable service.

Room Tip: Units 10 and 11 were great

We were only in Kerikeri for 1 night to see the Nairobi Trio Jazz band in concert at Marsden Estate Winery. Not knowing what to expect, we were pleasantly surprised with the friendly greeting we got from the owner (complete with a welcome glass of wine). The rooms far exceeded our expectation. They are huge with a large bathroom (with spa bath which was heaven given the chilly time of year) and a large kitchen. The sliding glass doors opened onto a roomy deck overlooking the gardens. The place is spotless and very relaxing. Will definitely be back.

Room Tip: If travelling as a couple, ask for a room with spa bath. Great after a hard days relaxing.

Our hosts were particularly helpful . They welcomed us with local wine. The beds were clean and the room had a patio where we could sit outside. We enjoyed the clean pool and spa bath. Towels were fresh and the room was clean. We stayed four nights and would choose to stay here again.

Room Tip: There is a chocolate factory that is very close to the hotel, but thankfully you can swim off the ca...
