My husband and I have spent many anniversaries at B&Bs and this really was one of the best. Lori, Greg, and David are fantastic hosts, innkeepers, and chefs. The breakfasts they served were Amazing and sure to fill you up. The rooms are quiet and comfortable. Ours, The East River Suite, had a separate sitting room so the one day when it rained we stayed inside and watched the rain on the water while reading books. I couldn’t remember a more relaxing day. The local area offers cute shopping and wonderful restaurants. There was plenty to do even in late March. I would highly recommend ordering a picnic basket and taking it to one of the local beaches. There may not be a fitness center but all you have to do is look around the Inn and there plenty of fitness activities - Bikes, Canoe, Kayaks, and Stand Up Boards. I even found a 6 mile running route. The beautiful views and great activities will bring us back.

Room Tip: When we booked we stayed inthe East River Sutie . We got a chance to look at all the rooms and woul...

My wife got us away for a couple days to celebrate my 50th. She then surprised me with the arrival of close friends who spent the weekend there as well. This is our third time and as always Greg and Lori made it as comfortable as home. This is our go to place to get away. Did I forget to mention breakfast? Outstanding every time, fresh, local and delicious.

This is a wonderful property. Having stayed about 20 years ago (under previous ownership), we had good memories. By the look of the website, we figured the place had been spruced up a bit, and we weren't disappointed -- the Inn is beautifully appointed. The Captain's Room (with an exquisite Tempur-Pedic bed) was the perfect spot to look out over the creek and grounds, and the owners were as gracious and friendly as you could hope for.

We took our kayak out into the East River and could have explored forever. Just a half hour away is the fabulous Merroir -- a must if you love raw oysters. This is a little paradise out in a quiet part of Virginia that we don't visit often enough. Stop reading the reviews. Just book a room and be done with it!

This was our third visit to the Inn at Tabbs Creek. We are never disappointed by the beautiful inn, wonderful breakfasts, and beautiful views. Greg, Lori, and David always make us feel right at home and are wonderful hosts and always have great ideas for restaurants and sightseeing. If you are looking for a getaway from the craziness of your life, this is the place for you. We will definitely be returning for another visit.

Room Tip: We have always stayed in the Captain's Room in the inn, however, I am sure any of the rooms woul...

We received a weekend stay at the Inn as a Christmas gift and it was the best present!!! The hosts, food, activities, view,.....were more than amazing! We were treated with such great hospitality all weekend. Happy hour on Saturday night was one of our favorite times...sitting on the screened in porch, listening to the birds, talking to hosts and guests like we were all old friends. Great place to get away and enjoy life!

We celebrated our anniversary recently, with two nights at the inn in the Chesapeake Suite. This is our fourth visit, and, as usual, it was relaxing and enjoyable. Greg, Lori, and David are great hosts. The breakfasts were generous, and we enjoyed their Thursday night wine and cheese gathering, including a delicious pepper jelly made by David. We are already planning our next visit in October.

We celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary at this amazing B & B. This was our second visit and it won't be our last. Lori, Greg, and Dave are amazing hosts. The beautiful location can't be beat and the food is fantastic. Everything is clean and well kept. Don't miss it if you want to experience coastal Virginia at it's very best.
