“Weekend Stay at Tabbs Creek Inn - May 2014”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 May 2014

Our friends came down from New Hampshire specifically to check out this Inn after hearing us talk about it so much. It's our favorite B&B! The Inn is a beautifully decorated old farmhouse at the end of a tree-lined drive-very private. All the rooms are so inviting and warm. Everything you could possibly want in a cozy or romantic Inn is there. The beds are very comfortable. Each room has a view. The breakfast in the morning is a delectable delight, made from food grown at the Inn or locally. It's made fresh by the owner and different each time. The sunsets are perfect to watch from either the fire pit or out on the pier on the chairs. Bikes and kayaks are available for use with many places to explore and discover in the area. We highly recommend this Inn, and will be sure to return again for a fourth time! Jo & Tim Lucero

Room Tip: If you're looking for quiet and a bit more room, choose the other building across from the pool...

Green Features: I'm very environmentally conscious and like to frequent locations that are committed to running their establishments in this way. Hopefully one day this will become an unconscious practice done by everyone.

We are from the Midwest and visited the inn to celebrate a friend’s 50th birthday in April. WOW—what an awesome place! We have stayed in a lot of B&Bs and would definitely rank this in our top 5. It’s hard to say anything new that hasn’t been said already: amazing breakfasts (truly some of the best food ever at a B&B), terrific owners, great sunsets, thoughtful happy hours…and the rooms and beds are SOOOOOO comfortable and very well kept. Captain’s Room was spacious for the two of us, and we loved it. But if you are easily awakened by sunlight, be aware that this room has lots of windows—so a sleeping mask is a good thing to bring. The bathroom amenities are top shelf and local. With the exception of going to Bethel Beach and out to dinner, we spent most of our weekend relaxing on property…sitting on the screened porch, on the docks, in the yard, by the fire pit. They had plenty of games available (indoor and out), and a library with tons of books. Seriously, if you can’t relax here, then I’m not sure there’s much hope for you ever relaxing. We hope to go back someday! Thanks Greg and Lori for making the Inn such a special place!

My husband and I have spent many anniversaries at B&Bs and this really was one of the best. Lori, Greg, and David are fantastic hosts, innkeepers, and chefs. The breakfasts they served were Amazing and sure to fill you up. The rooms are quiet and comfortable. Ours, The East River Suite, had a separate sitting room so the one day when it rained we stayed inside and watched the rain on the water while reading books. I couldn’t remember a more relaxing day. The local area offers cute shopping and wonderful restaurants. There was plenty to do even in late March. I would highly recommend ordering a picnic basket and taking it to one of the local beaches. There may not be a fitness center but all you have to do is look around the Inn and there plenty of fitness activities - Bikes, Canoe, Kayaks, and Stand Up Boards. I even found a 6 mile running route. The beautiful views and great activities will bring us back.

Room Tip: When we booked we stayed inthe East River Sutie . We got a chance to look at all the rooms and woul...

My wife got us away for a couple days to celebrate my 50th. She then surprised me with the arrival of close friends who spent the weekend there as well. This is our third time and as always Greg and Lori made it as comfortable as home. This is our go to place to get away. Did I forget to mention breakfast? Outstanding every time, fresh, local and delicious.

This is a wonderful property. Having stayed about 20 years ago (under previous ownership), we had good memories. By the look of the website, we figured the place had been spruced up a bit, and we weren't disappointed -- the Inn is beautifully appointed. The Captain's Room (with an exquisite Tempur-Pedic bed) was the perfect spot to look out over the creek and grounds, and the owners were as gracious and friendly as you could hope for.

We took our kayak out into the East River and could have explored forever. Just a half hour away is the fabulous Merroir -- a must if you love raw oysters. This is a little paradise out in a quiet part of Virginia that we don't visit often enough. Stop reading the reviews. Just book a room and be done with it!

This was our third visit to the Inn at Tabbs Creek. We are never disappointed by the beautiful inn, wonderful breakfasts, and beautiful views. Greg, Lori, and David always make us feel right at home and are wonderful hosts and always have great ideas for restaurants and sightseeing. If you are looking for a getaway from the craziness of your life, this is the place for you. We will definitely be returning for another visit.

We received a weekend stay at the Inn as a Christmas gift and it was the best present!!! The hosts, food, activities, view,.....were more than amazing! We were treated with such great hospitality all weekend. Happy hour on Saturday night was one of our favorite times...sitting on the screened in porch, listening to the birds, talking to hosts and guests like we were all old friends. Great place to get away and enjoy life!
