Seating is not plentiful except with outside seating in warm months. Selection is OK, but most of the wines are 2011 and newer (give me a 2008 Napa Cab). Service has been great to not so great, as if they had something better to do. This seems to be a problem in all the Reston area restaurants - everyone seems to feel above their service jobs and it often shows.

The Tasting Room is ideally located near Bow Tie Cinema and steps from restaurants and shops. Indoor seating includes a comfortable bar as well lower tables and chairs. The outdoor patio has heating elements for cooler evenings -- great for people watching. The Tasting Room often features local entertainment on Saturdays and sometimes Thursdays. Friendly and expert winetenders.

When passing, this place had always looked welcoming and worth visiting. However, upon actually going it was the absolute opposite. Met with hostile and unhelpful wait staff who couldn't really be bothered to explain the system. The wine is expensive and the whole place oppressive. Many more welcoming and non-obnoxious bars in the area - so, go down the road.

I really like this place. It is the perfect place to meet up with a friend and have a glass of wine and simply talk and catch up! It is small and can get crowded quickly but the staff handles that well. When the weather is nice you can sit outside and enjoy the weather and people watch. Very reasonable and a very nice selection of wines!

My husband and I had just driven and needed to get our barring in Reston as we were trying to figure out our plans for the next few days as we drove south. We found this place and they had a special that evening for a wine tasting. Six glasses for $5. We decided to try it over a cheese plate. The cheese plate was good serving size and offered humboldt fog cheese (which I love). We could have easily shared the plate with two other people. Our wine was 2oz each and we had a really nice server who let us figure out the region, varietal and year as part of our tasting quiz. We really enjoyed the break from driving, relaxing our minds from navigating the highways and traffic that we really enjoyed this place. Our bill was $28 plus tip when all was said and one and we would look to go here for a simple break again.
