We stayed here for one evening while traveling south via Rte 81. The hotel was convenient to several highways and had many dining & shopping options nearby. It is not located downtown, more on the outskirts, even though it is still in Roanoke.
This is not the nicest Holiday Inn I have stayed at recently. It was nice, and clean but a bit run down. The closet door was missing, and the room was on the smaller side. In all fairness, we did stay in a pet friendly room, so I can't say if the other accommodations were nicer.
We found check in to be quick and easy, and the staff was more than helpful and pleasant throughout our short stay. Plenty of parking was available.
The hotel has an outdoor pool, and restaurant onsite with a lounge and entertainment. It also has a reasonably priced room service menu available. We did not use any of those amenities, but did have the breakfast buffet which was very nice for $9.99 a person.
All in all, this was a great hotel for someone traveling with a pet. More
