Pros:
- The menu selection offers a pretty good variety of middle-eastern dishes. From lamb to chicken to beef, there's a number of different ways to order it.
- I settled on the chicken shawarma platter, which was pretty solid. It wasn't the best shawarma I've ever had, but it was well executed overall. The best part of the dish was honestly the rice on the side - I could have eaten a plate full of that easily!
- The food was out in about 7 minutes - fresh and very good.
Cons:
- As a solo diner, I was disappointed there weren't any sides/apps that were either sized or priced for one person. I didn't even see a side of pita on the menu or anything as simple as that.
- There were two servers during my time there, but they seemed to distracted with each other to pay much attention to me. I got my food before I got my iced tea that I ordered at the same time. I was probably halfway though my dinner before the server noticed he had forgotten it. After that point, he offered refills a plenty to help make up for his mistake, for what it's worth. However, I was left wondering what was up again when I had to tell the server multiple times that I was ready for my check after I was done eating. It was almost bizarre.
- Seating was a little awkward. There was no discernible "seat yourself sign", but there was also nobody at the front of the house to greet or guide me. It's a pretty small shop, so I wasn't left wondering, but I sat at a clean table kind of awkwardly wondering if I was doing the right thing or not. I'm still not even sure if that was correct or not.
Would I go again? Probably not. Not because the place was awful, but because I'm equally interested in other restaurants in the area and would like to try those more than I want to re-visit Cedars.
This must be the friendliest place in town! Really well cooked Mediterranean food, the kebabs were to die for, and the chops my wife had likewise. Just beware; the garlic relish is really potent and not suitable for a romantic evening.
Reasonably priced and fully recommended.
I had the absolute best experience. First time eating lebanese food and it was delicious. Food was seasoned perfectly, service was excellent, prices reasonable, and restaurant was extremely clean.
