“best steak in a long time!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 May 2014

Usually always order filets when I dine out, but decided to try the wagyu tomahawk ribeye, Delicious!! It was so tender and flavorful. The service was outstanding by all. They were always there to make sure drinks were replenished and asking if anything was needed. Expensive but would highly recommend.

“Excellent Food and Service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 May 2014

There were six in our party and each raved about how good their steaks were; cooked to perfection, tender, not burned or too salty. I had the lamb chops which was very good, maybe a little too salty for me, but still very good and artistically presented. We also had salads, Fresh Mixed Greens and the Classic Caesar Salad (you could ask for anchovy for your caesar salad), and desserts, Crème Brulee and Traditional Bananas Foster, all good. The service was excellent from the time we entered the restaurant to the time we left. The staff are very friendly and attentive to our needs. The meal is a little pricey but for a special occasion the place would be worth a visit.

“Excellent from start to finish!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 March 2014

Hands down, best meal in Roanoke. Great food, vibe, and friendly service. Starting with the delicious bread and butter and ending with the bananas foster dessert, everything was 5-star. The bruschetta appetizer was excellent and came deconstructed with a bowl of hot cheeses, tomatoes & garlic, and balsamic. We split the 14oz fllet, which was melt in your mouth tender. We had a side of cottage fries; which were a nice accompaniment for the filet. Great martinis too according to the mr. So if you have something special to celebrate or are looking for an excellent meal in downtown, this is the place.

Small downtown fine dining at its best. Filets, sides & desserts are divine & worth the upscale cost

“Agree, good but overpriced”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 February 2014

All of our food was very good. Scallops in a Parmesan Cream Sauce wonderful, my Filet was perfect, the Bread Pudding lovely. Everything is a la carte, veggies etc ordered separately and served family style, very nice, good quantity and well cooked. We did think for the price the presentation of the steak could have been improved upon. One small Filet on a large white plate with a sprig of rosemary looked pretty unappetizing, surely for the price they could have garnished a little more? The service was friendly, but a little erratic and slow at times. We thought the wine was rather expensive, the least expensive red was $40. The Bread Pudding was absolutely delicious, just be sure to order it with ice cream as it does not have a lot of sauce with it. Would we go back? No, not at almost $100 a person, inclusive of a bottle of ($40) wine. Although the steak was excellent, we've had just as good at other restaurants with more value for money. There was one other strange thing that happened. When the waitress brought our bread, it was very tough, chewy, cold, not very good. We didn't like the butter, it tasted like a mild honey butter which we don't care for, so we asked for some olive oil. After about 10 minutes, the olive oil with balsamic and herbs (very good!) was brought to the table along with another basket of bread. Well, this second basket of bread was wonderful, like a Ciabatta, light crust, warm and soft interior. So what was the tough, cold, chewy baguette type bread in our first basket? Made us think they were getting rid of previous evening's or lunch leftovers. Strange.
