Upon arrival... the room felt like it was at least 90 degrees. We had to immediately start undressing....and I had to cut the air condition on, to be able to breathe.

The front desk staff was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL;
however,
the breakfast staff was EXTREMELY RUDE!!!
The woman on staff was VERY snippy when she condescendingly yelled at us on how to appropriately use the waffle machine. Following the waffle machine unpleasantries.... this same employee constantly stared at us from head to toe..... and she made very unpleasant faces at us, while we were *attempting to eat* very cold eggs and very cold potatoes for breakfast! We ended up throwing away the food....and dismissing ourselves earlier than we would have liked. The entire experience was uncomfortable for us.... SO much so, that we chose to skip the breakfast portion on our second night of stay.
The best part of the breakfast.... was the bagel.... thanks to our being able to heat up our own food in a toaster. Too bad there wasn't a microwave there... so that we could have reheated the cold eggs and the extremely cold potatoes.
This particular staff employee that is, and hopefully WAS, representing this place of business.... is obviously lacking on proper food care. Her actions were VERY unprofessional and should NOT go unnoticed.

Room Tip: We like staying on the top floor in order to avoid having loud people above us. Do keep in mind that this hotel has NO ELEVATOR!!!

This hotel was a diamond in the ruff. I stayed for a couple of days and was very happy with room and public areas. It was clean and the staff is awesome. Although there are some condition challenges and you can see that it's a cap ex issue and not something that is in direct control of the management or the staff at the hotel. I can say from the time I entered the building the warm welcome was more than I expected and it continued from there. Everyone working there went out of their way to say hello when encountered and ask if I needed anything each time they had a chance. Congrats to the entire staff at the hotel for a job well done. You are all commended for your efforts! By the way, no complaints here. The only one suggestion would be install cigarette urns on the side entrances.

Room Tip: Ask for a lower floor in the middle.

Need I say more? Only stay here if you enjoy the smell of cat piss. As soon as I got upstairs, that's all I could smell. And I kept getting wiffs of it in the room. After a long day of driving, that's the last thing I wanted.

First the good. The rate is great, it is very close to the airport, the service is friendly, and there are some decent chain and local restaurants nearby.

Now the iffy. The property doesn't look that old but it is need of updating. The walls under the windows in the breakfast area have rotted out from moisture, there was mold on the caulk in our bathroom, one of the mattresses in our room had an enormous (at least 18" across) brownish stain on the top and running down the side, there was a random piece of furniture parked in our room, and quite a few other odds and ends. It just had that overall rundown feeling that other reviewers have noted.

We are value-conscious travelers and can usually accept the occasional slippage without comment but this one needed a couple of comments. In addition, we would usually return to the properties we stay in but not this one until future reviewers note that the property has been updated.

This hotel is an older one but has been fairly well-kept. There are minor issues but nothing that would prevent me from wanting to stay there again. Saw a bit of mold on the wall in the bath that could easily be cleaned but not a major issue. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, not a bad experience and a good value for the price.

Room Tip: Keep in mind that they do not have an elevator. If you have difficulty carrying your luggage up the stairs, you need to request ground floor.
