This inviting place has yummy pizza, including some interesting local specialty pies. It can get fairly crowded inside, and service can be slow. But the local bluegrass groups that hold forth there, are more than worth staying to hear. Suggestion: Go when you have lots of time and aren't trying to make a curtain at Blackfriars.

Best pizza I have had in awhile! You are crazy if you are in town and do not visit this place! Amazing pizza rolls and sweet tea as well as the pizza!!

Family ate there this weekend based on reviews. Will admit, the Pizza was excellent. Good sized portions, great selections, and probably the best sweet tea I've had since we left Georgia! However, the service from some reason appeared way off base from the norm. Ordered fairly routine items (pepperoni pizza, hamburger pizza, a calzone, and salad with one slice of gourmet pizza from the counter). Took nearly 45 minutes to get the pizzas. The calzone, although we could see it sitting behind the counter, was held back until it could be delivered with the pizzas, and after 50 minutes, we just canceled the gourmet slice due to loss of interests.

The atmosphere was great, the location was perfect for exploring Staunton, and the staff was friendly. Unfortunately, the time to get our food will keep us away.

Very good pizza, very good service, easily accessible from the Blackfriar Theater. What more can you say?

If you like the same old delivery pizza, go back to Domino's. But if you want something fresh, made to order and delicious, with a wider variety of toppings, sauces and excellent handmade dough, hang out at Shenandoah while they hand-make your dinner. I've never been disappointed, and the owner is a really nice guy who even gave me a lift home one time when I was tired of walking and had heavy grocery bags with me!
