Had lunch at this charming hide away in Staunton recently. It is a block from the main area of downtown near the train station in the wharf area. We took my wife's uncle there for a 88th birthday lunch and were wowed by the variety on the menu. Our waitress, Audrey, was efficient, helpful, and friendly. She personally converted creme brulee into a "birthday cake." We had pizza which was cheesy and delicious; a cheeseburger which was huge & cooked well but juicy which is very hard to achieve (wife will only eat well done meat); and her uncle ordered a Mexican salad which was full of delicious goodness. The portions are so huge that a couple could easily split an entree and have plenty. We will definitely be coming back.

Although we had to wait for an outdoor table, it was worth it! The food was very good-- my daughter had carnitas, I had a burger. And, we really enjoyed having a drink and waiting inside the old warehouse turned restaurant.

Thank you very much for the pleasant review of our restaurant. The outdoor patio seating is always a popular spot. The history of the Wharf buildings in Staunton's downtown area is very unique and historic. We look forward to entertaining you again when you return. Thank you again.

We stopped in for lunch and had a variety of sandwiches. Everything was good, the staff was friendly and the service was good. They have a good selection of local craft beers and were willing to let us sample them before we ordered. The location is great right in the heart of the downtown area and close to the breweries and other stores. Worth a visit with friends or family.

Really good food and very good service. I would definitely recommend the pizza, the hush puppies too. Would definitely go back if I'm in town visiting.

Byers Street Bistro offers a variety of dining options in one setting. At the ground floor, it's a pub setting, with occasional live music. Upstairs is rustic but pleasant atmosphere, with good views of the town for those seated near the windows. And if the weather's right, you can dine outdoors on the patio.
The food selection have broadened considerably in recent years, but still features pizza and ribs, and a great variety of salad options. Service is friendly and efficient, and prices moderate. Definitely worth a visit!
