Stayed there a week while touring Shenandoah Valley. Motel room was clean, spacious and affordable. All staff was friendly and helpful. Good TV, nice pool, fridge & microwave at no extra charge, free wireless, convenient location. Loved it.

If you are ever in Staunton VA- and not looking for anything special (just clean) in a hotel-then the HoJo's is the place for you. The rooms are very clean, bright, good size- they have internet service and the town of Staunton is wonderful to walk around. We stopped here on our way to the northeast for one night- we would definately recommend this hotel - and they are pet friendly too! We were told there would be a $10 fee and they waived it when we checked out. You have to walk around town and check out the shops, restaurants, and take plenty of pictures.

In reading some of the other rooms I was quite surpirsed because what do you expect for 55 a night! The room was fine, yes it coudl have been newer, cleaner etc but that is why the other hotels charge $100.00 a night. The breakfast was great for breakfast. What else do you want beside, cereal, bagels, waffles and oatmeal, come on this is not an all you can eat buffet geez the rates are cheap, how would they keep the place running. You shouldnt eat that much in the morning anyways and if you need to then there is a hardees across the streeet. The location is GREAT! Walking distance to everything. I prefer to stay in Marriots but when we are on a budget this is fine. We brought our own towels and sheets so we woudlnt have to worry about using unclean ones.....

Wanted a room close to Blue Ridge Parkway. As earlier reviewers noted, the place is older, but clean and within walking distance of historic and restaurants. Had a nice outdoor pool. Helpful desk clerk suggested we dine at the Byers Street Bistro at end of street and it was great advice.

Older hotel in city center. Comfortable room. Elevators. Very affordable. Helpful staff. Good selection at breakfast. Area around hotel a bit shabby but only a few blocks from old historic part of city. No complaints about room. I ate dinner at the Byers Street Bistro at the south end of Central Ave. where the food was good and the crowd was young and energetic.

My family and I went to Staunton, VA to see the Woodrow Wilson Museum and take in a play at the BlackFriars Playhouse. The attractions were great, but the hotel was not! One clue should have been that when we pulled into the parking lot their were only 3 or 4 other cars. The room smelled of mildew as soon as you open the door. The bathtub could have been cleaner, I am sure that after years of use it will become stained, but something can be done to turn it around. The tile floor was not clean enough either.
The room has a fridge in it, but a good cooler would be just as good.

Hope you don't wake up hungry in the morning after your stay and expect to get something from the continental breakfast because it was nothing to talk about. I mean basically you had some fruit, could get some cereal and possibly a bagle. I don't know that I would advertise the free breakfast as a selling point.

I would suggest taking in the sites, they were great, but I would either reccomend staying in the next town you were going to visit or find a different hotel in Staunton to visit.
