The place looks original to the time of Wilson's birth, 1856.The tour of the house was professional and interesting, and not long. We did not get into the museum due to time constraints. Cost for general public $14 for the house tour.

We toured this as well as the museum. The introductory video was very informative. Great furniture and stories about the family by our tour guide.

I am glad we did this, could have spent more time, the detail of the home is wonderfully done and the docent was very knowledgeable and answered a lot of questions from our small group.
Even though President Wilson was the governor of NJ and also President of Princeton Staunton , he considered his home. There is a definite pride in showing off this property.

The town is very cozy and is worth stopping for lunch . Easy off the highway either North or South interstates are close. Secure parking lot.

We enjoyed this tour of the home of his birth. Interesting to see how they lived back in the day.
Small tour but tour guide did a good job with interesting stories. His beautiful old car, good
short movie and make sure to go downstairs in the museum, great war info. Glad we went, nice memory. Interesting to see how much about politics remains the same 100 years later! $12.00 entrance fee. The town of Staunton has a nice historic district with some good antique stores and places to eat!

We took the tour with our teenage son, and each of us enjoyed it. Our guide shared a lot of information and could answer most of the questions that the group shot at him. And he didn't sugar-coat things like Wilson's dyslexia, the family's use of slaves, etc.

The house itself is impressive, a 4000-sq-ft brick home built in the 1830s or so for the leader of a Presbyerian congregation (Wilson's dad was hired for that job). A few pieces in the home belonged to the Wilson family, but most are of the right period but not of the family.
