We had high hopes given the quality of AG products and this was a total disappointment for our daughter's 8th birthday. We were told to arrive 15 mins in advance of our reservation time as seating would be immediately at the reservation time. Everyone arrived in advance and we let the hostess know. Twenty-five minutes after our reservation time (ie 15+25 minutes), we asked to speak to the manager as we had not yet been seated. Much to our and our daughter's disappointment, seven and eight year old girls repeatedly said that her party was boring and asked why we were just standing around instead of having the party. It was awful. When we were finally seated, drink menus were on the tables and the girls immediately started asking for the various options - milkshakes, etc. The waiter finally arrived and said the only option was pink lemonade. Another bummer for them. Because of the delayed start to the meal, parents arrived only after we had been served the appetizer. So they all waited an additional hour as we ate the entree and cake. Way too stressful for all involved and WE WILL NOT dine at another AG restaurant again or hold our daughters' parties at an AG venue again. Total disappointment.

I made reservations for our party of 5 for a Sunday afternoon. After traveling more than 60 miles in bad weather we were excited to begin our American Girl at Tyson's adventure to celebrate my daughter's 9th birthday. We have visited 2 other American Girl stores and this store once before, however, from the moment we entered the building we could tell this experience was not up to par with the rest. After a very negative experience in the downstairs hair salon, we were looking forward to a nice birthday meal. Unfortunately this was not the case. Our names were sharply YELLED by the bored hostess wearing a hoody. The attendant who took us to our table made our 3 girls carry their own doll carriers (along with their bags, dolls, coats, etc.) to the table which was set in the middle of a loud crowded room. There were no coatracks or places for our purses so they had to sit on the dirty, straw-wrapper laden floor. Our napkins did not have the signature hair ribbon elastic, and when we asked for them they were not brought to the table. We also had a food allergy and was told the chef would come explain the menu options to us, but he did not come out either. Our server finally found a hostess who could explain the menu options and they seemed really great. The portion sizes were fine, and had the food actually been at the appropriate temperature it might have even tasted okay. But our food came out cold and at different times. Our server just decided to leave (maybe off shift?) in the middle of the meal so we were left without refills, dessert menus, etc. The meal took so long that our girls almost missed the rest of their hair appointments downstairs.
For paying over $100 for a mediocre meal, poor service, in a dirty loud restaurant we were extremely disappointed. What we noticed interestingly enough is that if you carried the right LV bag, dripped in jewelry, and dressed in designer labels you were treated excessively better in the dining room. All in all, if you don't mind eating cafeteria quality food, in a pink cafeteria dining room, whilst paying top notch prices then this is the place for you. Just make sure you wear your Jimmy Choos.

From the beginning I was disappointed with our dining experience here. We had reservations but still had to wait a little bit. The atmosphere is set up like a diner with zero attempt at atmosphere. The girls were handed their own doll holders to carry to the table. With every other group the wait staff carried the holders to the table for them. We were missing the hair ties around the napkins at our table. (Eventually we asked for them and a server brought them to us down in the hair salon.) Our service started off on a good note. We ordered, the appetizers came, our server refilled two glasses and then...2 big parties came in and he never came back to check on us. (These parties were crammed into 2 tables right next to each other. I wondered if this was the experience they had expected.) Another server checked on us but by then we needed the check to make our appointments at the hair salon. The food was just okay. One of the adult meals was not hot. It seems ridiculous that you are paying $17 regardless of what is ordered as portion sizes really vary. We did not get the birthday cake so maybe that why we were treated as second class but we were happy we didn't pay any more than we did to get the food and service we did. This was definitely a one time experience and a disappointment at that.

I took my daughter for her 5th birthday party. There were 8 in our party and we were promptly seated. The food and service were wonderful. Our waiter kept on checking on us and so did the wait staff. Overall we had a great time and will come back very soon. I would recommend this to any with little girls.

We had a 4:00 reservation not seated until 4:30. Not acceptable when dining with children (in my opinion). Our server was friendly enough but service was horrendous. Food was average, pretty much what I expected for the price. Main course was put down before we could finish half of our starters. Our table was too small and it was chilly. I could go on... Just generally disappointed.
