I'm pretty sure you can get the gist of things from the title. This was just a meal saturated in greese. The "philly" sandwich is nothing but steak'ums cooked in ridiculous amounts of oil. My wife attempted to get the grilled chicken BLT but they were somehow out of grilled chicken so she had to have a friend one. Friends, this means that they use pre-made items and don't cook from scratch. If the chicken was raw before being dredged and battered to be fried then they would obviously have chicken breasts to make their menu item. Obviously though they had enough frozen patties to substitute. Their menu also says "Soup of the Day" yet when I inquired she said they don't have soup in the summer time. "Then why is it listed on your menu?"

Our reception was less then welcoming as well. This place is obviously a "locals" place. Stay far away. It isn't worth the three minute drive from 81 and you're better off eating at one of the chains there. I love local establishments but this was a bust.

We had heard this was a good place to eat but it doesn't look like it from the outside. But since we'd heard it was good, we decided to try it for lunch one day. I can't think of anything good to say about it. Some people like it but I don't know why.

Our party of 10 tried Armstrong's on a lunch break from an area travel volleyball tournament. A typical family type restaurant with red checked table clothes and diner menu. Our party enjoyed the "recommended" made to order hamburgers, philly cheese steak, homemade chicken salad sandwich and reuben. We backed up the kitchen so service was a bit slow but overall it was a good experience and if in the area we would visit again. Ask for seperate checks, paying our bill was very confusing and slowed our exit.
