For all the time you spend in a room at the beach it was nice. But there was no coffee pot, no alarm clock. Coffee was there in the laundry room, the elevator was slow, we were in the 6th floor. So sometimes we took the stairs, all 72 of them. The hallway to the room did not have ac, so it got warm when you were going to the room,. any time of the day. The view from the balcony was nice, got some great pictures. We lost a toy. Called down they said they would call back, I had to call back. The staff needs improvement on their front desk skills and some manners. Over all the room was clean and it served for what we needed. That's why I gave it a 3. Also we were told that there was a complimentary breakfast there was none, so it cut into our food budget some.

The staff at this hotel are very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and had everything we needed, including a microwave, mini fridge, table & chairs, and hairdryer. Our balcony was right over the boardwalk and the beach and the views were stunning. When you walked down to the lobby to reach the beach a door was right there for entering and exiting. We felt very safe and secure at this location. Ben & Jerry's and a neat beach store right across the street! We walked every night to go out to eat. We also drove to Rudee Inlet and restaurant was fabulous. Is this a fancy hotel? No, but it was perfect for our stay ! Beds were comfortable, it was very quiet and we could sleep well. Hotel was well kept. Bathroom functional, not luxurious. We're coming back!

Room Tip: All rooms face the Atlantic, beautiful views. We stayed on 4th floor and all was great.

Just mom and I for a one night belated Mother's Day beach stay. They accommodated our request for a quiet room on a lower (but not 1st) floor, due to fear of heights. The room was clean, and we loved the little kitchen sink area-tho we wished we knew no coffee would be available. Lovely view from balcony. Beds were real comfy and inviting. For an older hotel it is well maintained. We would definitely stay again (and bring a coffee pot!)

Room Tip: We liked the corner room (21, I think). Seemed to make for a quieter stay even tho it is next to th...

Needed a short getaway for my wife and myself. Booked the Sea Hawk from priceline.com. We knew nothing about it, but chose it for the price as we were going to be there only one night. I was VERY surprised!! The rooms were spacious (two beds).. It had a large flat screen tv, GREAT wi-fi, A fridge,a microwave, a hairdyer and a safe. In addition, the private balcony was directy over the Boardwalk.. Heating and cooling was quiet and efficient. Beds were comfortable, linens were good, and the water HOT. No odor...rooms smelled clean. Now for the FUN part. It had a heated indoor pool on the ground floor..water was very warm AND a huge hot tub with good jets!
While were there, a gentleman came out and tested the water in both pool and hot tub to make sure it had the right chemicals! And to top that..we got the room at half the price of anything that compared to it. The ONLY downside is that they are only open from March-October. Would really love to see them open in the winter..i would go there often. We were VERY pleased.

Room Tip: We liked the 4th floor

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights when traveling to Va beach for a wedding. Most of our family stayed at the larger chain hotels a few blocks up and paid twice as much as we did. This hotel room was average, but clean...and isn't that really all that matters? We didn't have the amenities of the larger hotels, but we didn't really need them. The balcony and ocean front view were awesome. My only complaint was that we had a period our last morning that we did not have any hot water so I had to take a cold shower.

Stayed at the Seahawke Hotel in Va Beach. The rooms were alright for a couple of nights. The end rooms are better their quieter. They don't even have coffee pots in the room to make coffee. The rooms are on the ocean front that part I really did enjoy, because you could just walk out on the balcony and enjoy the Beach view from there. Enjoy the breeze that you get while sitting out there also. They are very friendly and nice people at the front desk when checking in and out of your rooms. I would stay there again if I had to go to Beach again. Although some of my friends had rooms with a stove in them which is good. You did have microwave, refrigerator, safe in your rooms which was also good.

I traveled with my children to Virginia Beach for a Summer get away. We spent 5 days at the SeaHawk Motel and had a relatively enjoyable time. The view of the beach from the room was the best part. We did have a few neighbors who were less than enjoyable but overall the motel was very family friendly. It's a good place for the price - clean, attentive staff and great access to beach and beach activities (I barely had to use my car). The indoor pool was great - nice size, not usually crowded and heated.
Parking was very tight, but i used the lot across the street which had a lot more room. Wifi was free but pretty slow.
We would definitely return in the future!!

Room Tip: The higher the floor the better the oceanview.
