The pool was small (and I do mean small, 11 people max)
No fridge or microwave in the rooms.
No wi-fi in the rooms, only in the lobby. (Does have ethernet cable ion room)
We did ok though because we bought an ice chest and kept our drinks in that. The ice machine wasn't far from the room.

The breakfast was ok in my opinion but husband just loved them and so did the kids. The staff were super friendly to us.

We had no housekeeping problems, we always had clean towels, etc.
And our housekeeper got lots of hugs from our daughter because she was so nice, our 2 year old just loved her.

As far as the chairs, we had chairs on our balcony and as far as I seen they all had chairs.

The beds are super comfy! Laying on the bed was like laying on a cloud.

It's at a great location on the beach, we loved it!

If they had wi-fi in the rooms (they only have it in the lobby) and I could have gotten a reception on my AT&T phone, the pool was bigger, and they had a fridge and micro this place would have been a 10 for my family!!
Overall those things I mentioned wouldn't break the deal for us and caused us no hardships. We'd definitely stay there again.

We really enjoyed staying here, (July 4 weekend), even though everything is drastically overpriced on summer weekends in Va beach. The hotel has a great view and is on a nice area of the boardwalk (a few blocks south of the fishing pier). The beds were really comfortable and nice, but I felt the size of the rooms were a bit small compared to other Hampton Inns I have stayed in. We were able to watch the fireworks from the balcony of our room. Breakfast was OK, not spectacular, but not bad at all.

One complaint. NO refrigerator in the room. Nearly every hotel on the beach has a fridge in the room. Never used the pool. Who wants to come to the beach on a weekend with great weather and use a tiny indoor pool? I would imagine it would be nice if you came in the off season and it's too cold to swim at the beach.

The staff here are great, all of them were exceptionally friendly and down to earth... considering how overwhelmed they must have been on a busy holiday weekend.

We choose this hotel because it was on the ocean and because it was new. The room was plenty big, clean and had a great view - we were very pleased. Its also within walkin distance to the strip. Outside of the room...... The indoor pool is TINY. We mistakenly started using the outdoor pool at the hotel next store thinking it was part of our hotel (its awkwardly located) which was nice until we figured out it wasn't part of the hampton inn. Breakfast was chaos in the morning if you arrived past 7am, and we had enough of the food after one night (it was not so fresh). Some of the hotel staff was friendly, but mostly I felt like I was bothering them when I called or stopped by the front desk. Housekeeping skipped our room once, and other days came very late in the afternoon, as we were getting back from the beach to get ready for dinner, which was a bit inconvenient. Also, there's no way to get in or out of the back of the hotel (where the beach is)... so you had to truck all the way around to the front. There's still construction going on, so maybe that's something they're adding? Overall, the room was great, but if you're looking for more, look elsewhere.

This was a very nice hotel, friendly staff ang nice breakfast. The down side is: No WiFi in the room, you have to plug in the laptop to get internet and also there is no signal on cell Verizon and AT&T.

my family and I stayed at this new hotel which thought more about making money than keeping customers happy. We rented a 2 bedroom suite the size was great but the service from the front desk to the parking was horrible. On July 4 they were letting anyone with 30 dollars park in there limited parking deck and the paying customers could not even leave for being afraid of not having a parking space when you come back. the breakfast was horrible the people preparing the food where toching the food without usings gloves. They need a lot of improving I will not recommend anyone staying here unless you cant go anyone else and than you may want to stay at home. Also the pool was very small and dirty with sand and the bathrooms near the lobby area was nasty with a stall already out of order for an grand opening.
