There four major monument, 'Where It All Began', 'Pilots Man Your Planes', The Home Coming' and 'The Team'. Each monument has at least on statue.

'Where It All Began', with a statue of Eugene Ely, is about the beginning of naval aviation. 'Pilots Man Your Planes' is about the late 20's up to WW11. THis monument has two pilots leaving the carrier's island. 'The Home Coming' shows a pilot being greeted by his wife & daughter. 'The Team' is one woman & two men working toether.

Around the sides of the monument's base are pictures of aircraft of the monument's era, along with words about individual a/c. Also is the v'Cornerstone of Naval Aviation, which list all U.S. carriers fron the beginning. A picture of the Dwright D. Eisenhoewr carrier is above all carrier names.

Any miltary person, active or veteran or a person who enjoys avation will should stop by. THe monument is located about 100 yards north of the Old Coast Guard Station. I recommend a visit.

THe monument is like a small park. No admissiom, just walk up to view & read. An veteran, active military person or a person with an interest in aviation will enjoy a visit. The park
