My fishing friend Bill is married to a Thai woman and they have a home in Chaing Mai. When asked where to eat Thai food in Virginia Beach he said Tida Thai without hesitation. My wife and i ate there tonight and were very happy. The food was authentic and there were lots of interesting options.
Two complaints: the two dishes we ordered (Beef Siam and Egplant Pad Ped) were heavy on meat but would have been beter with less meat and more vegetables. --the other one is that there is not a lot of atmosphere....a long narrow place, very clean but lacking a Thai ambiance...the waitresses were very nice but dressed in drab colors and a bit tired.
We will go back in a flash. Very good food and reasonable price...dinner for two came to $24 with tax. Oh yes, they serve a complimentary small cold lettuce salad dressed with a satay sauce...very nice touch..
