I went on a business trip but could see that this would be a great hotel for a vacation too. The location is Super along the boardwalk! The staff was friendly and accommodating. Thumbs up as usual at the Hilton Chain.

Wonderful location and brand new furnishings. Very comfortable hotel and clean but if you stay here be a heavy sleeper or bring ear plugs as the in room AC units were incredibly noisy. Also, the service was lackluster and not typical of a Hilton so I think they'll improve on that soon.

Just got back yesterday from this wonderful hotel! It is clean and very well maintained. Of course it has a little advantage being so new. When we checked in they were very busy and yet seemed to make it flow effortlessly. The views are amazing! However, there are several homeless people sleeping on the benches on the boardwalk side of the hotel. They did not leave the entire time we were there. This is no reflection of the hotel because that is a public area. While we felt bad for them, it was a little bit of an eyesore looking at such a beautiful place and seeing that. They were nice and harmless though. The boardwalk is VERY clean and fun! Lots going on and plenty of things to do. The beaches are also very well maintained. The hotel does a great job of keeping things enjoyable. There is always music playing at the pool and in the lobby and at the restaurant. Live music every night! Eat at the restaurant if you get a chance, very good food and beer and it is affordable. Also, check with the desk daily because they give out free beach chair and service everyday. This was very nice because we did not bring out chairs. The pool is the selling point for me. Very clean, great music, not crowded, on Atlantic Ave, heated and just overall a win/win!! The breakfast would be my only complaint. We had horrible service and the food is mediocre at best. NOT worth $12.95 at all. However, they credited us the amount we paid based on our poor service and we didn't even ask them to! So that was nice. The water and coffee was nice in the lobby, but seemed to always be empty. Had to wait a lot for refills. Overall, I would stay here again in a heartbeat and miss it already :(

Hi Slturner03

We miss you too! Thank you for your very kind comments on the hotel and the staff. I will be sure to share with them your "win/win" comment! I will also address the breakfast issue with the Food & Beverage staff. We are still working out a few kinks and constructive comments are always welcome. Thank you again for choosing us to be your home away from home and can't wait for your next visit!

Nice new modern hotel with beautiful views. Friendly staff.

Issues:
Small balconies.
Upon check in and checkout: absolutely no luggage carts! Checked each floor/asked staff for assistance/waited for about an hour and there were absolutely no carts in sight. It's ridiculous that such a big hotel has such small inventory of carts.
Hotel employees/concierge never informed us that there are free beach chair rental available to the first few customers each morning. Would I stay here again? Questionable.

Hi SummerFun2008,

Thank you for your compliments on the hotel and the staff. I really do appreciate the issues that you shared as well. For only being 3 months now open we were sure to shake down some items we have to address moving forward and you are absolutely correct about the number of luggage carts. We are looking at adding more soon. Please give us another chance to "wow" you if you are ever back in this area. Please call or email me and I will personally set your reservation. stefano.reyes@hiltongardeninnvb.com or 7573059000 ext 5601. Look forward to hearing from you.

Not sure what else you need for a beach vaca. Only in the room to sleep, shower and change...and watch the sun come up over the water, which we did, each morning without much effort (or any). Location is great-said goodbye to our car for the entire trip and didn't miss it once. And the staff was truly lovely. On our second day, one of the engineers got in the elevator with us and was getting off on our floor. The guest in the room next door had dialed 911 and he was just checking to be sure everything was ok. It was, but he was the second staff member to arrive at the gentleman's room. Protocol is protocol but the kindness with which both of them treated the situation cannot be faked...and that for me makes the already overall pretty good hotel great.

We stayed there 2 nights at the end of june. Since hotel is new it was very clean. Location is one of the best in VB in my opinion. AC is noisy . Breakfast service was very bad and it was not organized. Food and beverage manager was struggling when the restaurant was full in the morning. Breakfast service definitely needs attention. May go back but will think twice before I pay that premium again!

Hi Ty_Toronto,

I just want to say we appreciate your feedback on our breakfast service and apologize for failing to meet your expectations. This will definitely be addressed with the staff. I will agree with your in our location being 2nd to none and I will look into that noisy AC. Thanks again for your comments and we look forward to seeing you again when you come back down to Virginia.

We stayed here 6 nights in July for a family vacation. Overall a great hotel. Staff are friendly and the facility is nicely designed. Rooms serve their purpose but are a bit spartan in furnishings. Easy access to the beach is a big plus, plus you get two free rental beach chairs if you ask the concierge for the voucher. The mini-fridge and microwave in the room is rather handy.

The only annoyance is the almost non-stop flogging of their "open house" for time share. Not just at the concierge desk, but all of the "Gold Key" reps that line Atlantic Avenue. The company also operates a number of restaurants in the area, which the concierge will direct you to pretty much exclusively if you ask for suggestions for dining. Which would be fine, if their restaurants were any good, but they aren't; they're terrible. Savvy travelers will check Trip Advisor for restaurant reviews before falling for the sales pitch.
